Dipika Kakar’s ‘Nanad’ Saba Opens Up On Actress’13-Mm Cyst Surgery, ‘Hospital Mein Admit Hona Hai..’

Dipika Kakar has been through a lot since 2025. The actress had to undergo a long surgery to get her tennis-ball-shaped tumour removed from her stomach. It all happened when she was part of the Celebrity MasterChef, which she had to leave midway due to her health issues. Now, it has recurred, but it was diagnosed at an early stage, where it is still a cyst and can be burned through a procedure.

In her latest vlog, Saba Ibrahim also talked about her bhabhi‘s cyst diagnosis. She revealed that it was during the first roza when her brother, Shoaib Ibrahim, told her that Dipika’s blood report wasn’t nice. She had a feeling that something was not right, and it turned out to be true. Saba revealed that she met Dipika, and the actress had put mehendi to make things look normal for the family. Saba was quoted as saying:

“Doctor ne us time bola tha ki kabhi kabhi laut kar yeh sab cheeje ho jati hai, but surgery itni badi hui thi ki lag raha tha yeh sab cheeje ab nai hogi. Ab jaise vo strong hai toh hume bhi strong banna padega. Anniversary ka toh hum kuch nahi kr rahe hai kyunki unko kal hi admit hona hai toh vo sahi ho jaye fir kuch karege.”

Dipika Kakar to be hospitalised again for a cyst in the stomach

In a recent YouTube vlog, Shoaib Ibrahim revealed that Dipika visited the hospital after she had mild pain in her stomach for two days. However, it aggravated more on Friday night. So, they visited the hospital and got a CT scan, after which Dipika got another cyst of 13 mm. Dipika also added that with the same stomach pain, she started having shoulder pain, which was alarming for them. Dipika said:

“Stomach ke saath wahi shoulder pain ho raha yeh humare liye alarming tha. Toh doctors kahe rahe hai ki yeh us wajah se nahi hai par yeh pata nahi kyo ho raha hai fir CT kiya.”

Shoaib revealed that they found out about it in an early stage. However, the CT only showed a cyst; everything else was normal, and it was their fear that the last time the doctor told Dipika that it was a poorly differentiated, very aggressive tumour, and chances were that it would come again. So doctors have come to a conclusion that they would treat it, while it won’t be a surgery, they would burn it, and she had to get admitted in the hospital. He was quoted as saying:

“Saare scanario mila ke pahuche ki hum isko treat krege par aisi koi major-major surgery nahi hogi, but ander vo cyst hai usko burn karege. Lekin 3-4 din ka admission hoga. Tuesday ko surgery hogi, toh ye, pray ki jiyega ki ache se ho jaye.”

Dipika Kakar’s tumour surgery lasted for 14 hours

For the unversed, Dipika’s surgery was conducted at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The surgery lasted for 14 hours. In his latest vlog, Shoaib revealed that he dropped her off at the operating theatre at 8:30 in the morning, and she came out only at 11:30 at night. Soon, she was out of OT, she was rushed to the ICU, where she was under observation for three days.
