Dodger fans are shelling out big bucks and standing in line for hours to get one of the most coveted giveaways of the season.
Tuesday’s game against the Cleveland Guardians drew fans to Dodger Stadium hours before the gates even opened, in hopes their patience will secure a Yoshinobu Yamamoto bobblehead.
The coveted collectible is actually a crossover with Universal Pictures’ highly-anticipated sequel “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” which hits theaters on Wednesday.
The bobblehead features the beloved Yoshi character from the Super Mario Bros. video games and the upcoming movie, donning Yamamoto’s No. 18 Dodgers jersey, cap and glove.
Fans have been lining up for hours before first pitch, some of whom will be taking advantage of enormous demand to sell it on eBay, with pre-sales already fetching over $200 apiece.
There are already over 20 listings for the bobblehead on eBay, with buy-it-now listings ranging from $199 to $297, hours before the game began.
There are also a few that are up for auction, with one currently at $94 and another at $177 ahead of the game.
Once the gates opened, fans started listing the bobblehead straight from the park, and the prices started to go up even more.
One listing – with a picture of the fan holding the bobblehead box in his hand – is asking for $215, while another that shows the box overlooking Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium, asking $275.
Another that shows the box on a railing is asking $300, among the highest prices for the collectible at the moment.
For those who have tickets to the game, many decided to head to the park hours early to secure this collectible.

X user @edware32 posted a photo from 11:43 a.m., showing dozens – if not hundreds – of fans patiently waiting for their chance to snag this bobblehead.
Dodgers Nation writer Doug McLain also tweeted a video showing the huge line of fans on the sidewalk of Stadium Way, as they wait to enter the ballpark.
Those at the game are not only standing in line for hours, but they’re shelling out big bucks just for those tickets.
The cheapest tickets to tonight’s game – which starts at 7:10 p.m. – are going for $169 apiece for a pair of tickets, and $172 for a solo ticket on StubHub.
The cheapest tickets on another platform – TickPick – are selling for $158 apiece for a pair, and $171 for a solo ticket.
They are even overshadowing the Los Angeles Lakers, where tickets are almost always much more expensive than the Dodgers.
X account @mlbelites tweeted on Tuesday morning that the “get-in price” for tonight’s game between the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers was $133 on TickPick, while the Dodgers game was $161.
Conversely, a few hours south of L.A., the Dodgers’ NL West rivals will be squaring off, with the San Diego Padres hosting the San Francisco Giants at Petco Park.
The prices for those tickets are nowhere near as astronomical as the Dodgers vs. Guardians game.
StubHub users can get a pair of tickets to the Padres/Giants game for as cheap as $40, with a solo ticket going for $42.
TickPick users will pay just $39 apiece for two tickets, while a solo ticket goes for as low as $31.
Thankfully, the high ticket prices will only be temporary for Dodger fans.
Tickets for Wednesday’s series finale against the Guardians are going for $57 apiece for a pair and $51 for a solo ticket on StubHub, and $51 apiece for a pair and $56 for a solo stub on TickPick.
