New Delhi: In a major development, US President Donald Trump described his meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin as a waste of time. He further added that he would not meet Putin again until he is certain that an agreement is in place to establish peace between Russia and Ukraine. It is important to note that Trump’s statement came at a time when it was being announced that the two leaders were set to meet in Budapest to advance discussions on the war. However, the meeting will now not take place.

To recall, during his trip to Asia, Donald Trump shares his views on meeting Vladimir Putin. He said, “I need to know if we are going to reach an agreement. I’m not going to waste my time. I’ve always had good relations with Vladimir Putin, but it’s been very disappointing.”
