Drake Maye’s big day has arrived, and no one is more excited than his No. 1 fan.
Taking to her Instagram Stories ahead of Super Bowl 2026, Ann Michael Maye posted a heartfelt message to her quarterback husband, whose Patriots are squaring off against the Seahawks on Sunday afternoon in Santa Clara.
“Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!!!!” Ann Michael wrote over a photo of the couple kissing. “Proud is an understatement, I love you @drake.maye.”
Maye, 23, is competing in his first Super Bowl for the Patriots — less than two years after the team drafted him third overall.
The former UNC quarterback tossed 31 touchdowns against eight interceptions en route to a 14-3 regular season. Though he played his way into the MVP conversation, he fell short of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in this season’s voting.
Maye and the Patriots have gone from worst to first in just one season’s time.
The basement dwellers of the AFC East in 2024, newly minted Coach of the Year Mike Vrabel has authored an epic turnaround, with New England clinching its first division title and Super Bowl berth since 2019.
Vrabel, a Super Bowl-winning linebacker with the Patriots during his playing days, has credited his second-year quarterback for putting the franchise in a position to clinch its seventh championship.
“He’s a competitor. He’s always trying to learn. He continues to build and develop as a leader. His success and his performance is a large part of why we’re here,” Vrabel said this week.
When Maye does take the field at Levi’s Stadium for his first-ever Super Bowl, Ann Michael will surely be nearby.
Childhood sweethearts, Maye and Ann Michael, tied the knot in June 2025.
Much like Maye, Ann Michael has become a fan favorite in Foxborough and shot to social media stardom this season with her viral “Bakemas” series on TikTok.
She boasts more than one million followers across her TikTok and Instagram pages.
