The Eagles are keeping a core piece of the defense for the future.
Defensive tackle Jordan Davis and Philadelphia agreed to a three-year, $78 million extension on Saturday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The contract includes $65 million in guaranteed money.
Rapoport also reports that the contract now makes Davis, who is now entering the fifth year of his rookie deal, the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history.
Jalen Carter and Moro Ojomo are also eligible for extensions this offseason, so the questions for the Eagles will likely now shift to those two.
Davis, the 13th overall pick out of Georgia in 2022, is coming off what was easily his best season as a pro in 2025. He accumulated career bests in tackles (72), sacks (4.5), quarterback hits (five) and passes defended (six).
The 26-year-old added six tackles, including one tackle for a loss, in Philadelphia’s wild-card round loss to the 49ers.
Pro Football Focus graded him at 72.6 for the year, which ranked 23rd out of 134 interior defensive linemen.
His most memorable play of the year, though, came in September when he blocked a last-second Rams field goal attempt — which would have won the game for Los Angeles — and ran the ball back 61 yards for a touchdown. Next Gen Stats reported that his max speed on the return at 18.59 mph was the fastest for a player of over 330 pounds since at least 2017.

Davis helped the Eagles remain stout on defense, as they ranked fifth in the NFL in points allowed per game at 19.1.
Overall in his career, Davis has totaled 162 tackles and eight sacks.
