TEHRAN- Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Seyed Ali Madanizadeh emphasized the complete readiness of his ministry to support the people and the armed forces, announcing the formation of a special operations room since the beginning of the imposed war.

According to a report by Mehr News Agency on Friday, in a television interview, the minister referring to the start of the imposed war by the Zionist-American enemy against Iran, stated: “From the very beginning of this unjust war, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance formed an operations room and, by receiving daily reports, has continuously pursued service delivery in all its subordinate areas. Significant resolutions and delegations of authority were approved and communicated to facilitate citizens’ affairs.”

Regarding the banking sector, he added: “The country’s banking network continues to operate, maintaining 50 percent of its capacity in Tehran and 30 percent in other cities, to meet the banking needs of the people. Special facilities have been considered for affected economic enterprises and physically injured individuals, and facilitations have been implemented in installment payments, new facilities, and tax exemptions. Furthermore, regarding bounced checks, the banking system has provided specific facilitations, the details of which will be announced by the Deputy for Banking Affairs and the Central Bank.”

In the insurance sector, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance emphasized: “Necessary orders have been issued to follow up on insurance matters and ensure the satisfaction of the people under the difficult conditions of war, so that comprehensive services are provided.”

Regarding the capital market, Madanizadeh said: “In order to protect the assets of the people and companies, the stock market was quickly closed and will remain closed until further notice (based on the resolution of the Supreme Council of the Stock Exchange). However, fixed-income funds, the bond market, and the commodity and energy exchanges have continued their activities since the second day of the war.”

He continued: “The services of the Tax Affairs Organization will commence after the holiday period, and exemptions, extensions of tax deadlines, and facilitations related to tax payment checks have been considered, the details of which will be announced by the head of the Tax Affairs Organization.”

In the customs sector, the Minister of Economy announced important resolutions to facilitate the clearance of goods and stated: “The clearance of all goods (including essential and non-prohibited items) is possible with a guarantee and without the need for currency allocation from the Central Bank. Customs formalities have been minimized, the transfer of goods to dedicated warehouses is permitted with minimal guarantees and [using] Sayadi checks, expired registrations during the war period are automatically and freely extended for two months, and the transit of goods to free zones and domestic customs is possible without the need for registration or obtaining foreign exchange commitments (only statistical registration is done in the Free Zones Organization).”

In conclusion, Madanizadeh emphasized: “The salaries of all government employees and retirees will be paid on time, or even earlier than scheduled. God willing, these difficult times will soon pass with the victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the success of the armed forces.”
