Emmerdale’s Paddy Dingle actor Dominic Brunt has reacted to a new twist that sees Bear Wolf make a damning confession, with three exits teased in the fallout on the ITV soap

One Emmerdale actor has hinted it could be game over in a prison twist for three characters.

Paddy Dingle actor Dominic Brunt has confessed his character is left convinced he and two others will be jailed due to their involvement in a murder. Fans know that Paddy’s father Bear Wolf accidentally killed villain Ray Walters recently, as Ray, who exploited Bear in a modern slavery plot, tried to kill Paddy and teenager Dylan Penders.

After Ray died, Dylan, Paddy and Bear tried to cover up the crime and kept Bear’s actions a secret until he eventually confessed. With Paddy battling to keep him and Dylan out of it while also insisting Bear’s actions were self-defence, it all falls apart next week when Bear panics in another police interview.

Having already confessed to the accidental death, Bear decides to claim he deliberately killed Ray to try and keep Paddy and Dylan from being found out. But Dominic says Bear’s latest move leads to further twists, and it’s not looking good.

He shared: “Paddy thinks they’re all going to prison now, and that’s the end of the line. After everything they’ve done, he thinks they’re all doomed. It’s about telling the truth now after months of lying so there’s got to be repercussions of that.”

Dominic said that Paddy will fear what Bear could say next, and whether he will accidentally expose Paddy and Dylan’s link to the murder. He explained: “He’s worried about that but he’s more worried about what they’re doing to his dad.

“He knows he was already suffering with depression and that’s what led to him leaving the house. I think he’s worried that the pressure of this is too much for him and h’es going to say something that he’s not supposed to say, and not the rehearsed line.”

With DS Walsh convinced Paddy helped his father, the latest twist with Bear leads to both Paddy and Dylan deciding it’s time to reveal what really happened. Dominic shared: “Paddy’s been questioned by Walsh, and he knows she’s absolutely cracking.

“She’s on it completely. If there’s a way, she’ll find it, she’s brilliant.” But Paddy is keen for Dylan to keep out of it, and hinted he may cover for the teenager and stop him from confessing.

He said: “He thinks about what it will do to his life if he goes to prison. What chance does he have for the rest of his life? Even getting a job. It’s not the best start in life so he’s beside himself about that and blames himself.”

Dominic admitted that Paddy wouldn’t cope in prison either. He said: “I don’t think he would do very well at all, I don’t think he’s the sort of person that would go in and become the daddy of B Wing. He can’t defend himself, he’s weak and he would be exploited.”

He also doesn’t think Paddy would be able to forgive himself if Bear gets sent down. He said: “He’s trying to make up for lost time with Bear and he feels guilty for the whole situation, so he’s trying to be a father figure for Dylan and for Bear.

“He thinks he’s failing consistently and worryingly, making things worse. He means well and he’s trying to do his best but the decisions he makes are terrible. Paddy would not forgive himself for a long time, he’d blame himself.”
