It’s been three months since Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a speaking engagement in Utah.
And in many ways, the pundit’s death is as much a hot-button political issue as ever before.
In a new interview with journalist Bari Weiss, Charlie’s widow, Erika Kirk, shared her feelings about people who have “celebrated” her husband’s murder.

“You’re sick,” a tearful Kirk said, referring to the alleged celebrants.
“He’s a human being. You think he deserved that? Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter,” Kirk continued.
While people “celebrating” Kirk’s death seem to be few and far between (and mostly anonymous social media trolls), several public figures who were critical of Kirk’s rhetoric during his life have continued to criticize his views.
One such figure is actress Amanda Seyfried, who — like many people with strong ties to the LGBT community — believed that Kirk was spreading a hateful message to his young, impressionable audience.

Back in September, Seyfried described Kirk as “hateful” for his bigoted remarks regarding gay and trans people.
This week, she doubled-down on those remarks during an appearance on the “Who What Wear” podcast.
“I’m not f–king apologizing for that. I mean, for f–k’s sake, I commented on one thing,” Seyfried said (via TMZ), adding:
“I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes. What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course.”

Amanda previously clarified her remarks in an Instagram post, writing:
“I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable.”
This week, she thanked the “Who What Wear” hosts for providing her with an additional opportunity to contextualize her comments about Kirk:
“It was about getting my voice back because I felt like it had been stolen and recontextualized — which is what people do, of course,” she explained.
Erika Kirk has not yet responded to Amanda’s decision to stick by her initial comments.
But something tells us she’ll be addressing the situation in the very near future.
