European football results today: La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and Serie A scores, highlights

There were matches across Spain, Germany, France and Italy on Sunday, including two draws in the Bundesliga and four in Ligue 1.

Getafe and Celta Vigo were the early winners in Spain, with first-half goals giving Bologna an away victory in Italy.

Alaves hosted Osasuna, Marseille visited Monaco and Serie A leaders Inter were at home to Roma in the later matches.

La Liga results: Getafe vs Athletic Club, Valencia vs Celta Vigo, Oviedo vs Sevilla, Alaves vs Osasuna

Getafe are three points from a European qualification place in La Liga after earning a fourth win in five matches by beating Athletic Club, who are three points behind them and have lost three of their last four.

Celta Vigo occupy that sixth spot, coming from behind to condemn 13th-placed Valencia to a second defeat in three matches.

Federico Vilnas’ goal gave Oviedo successive wins and put the bottom side seven points from safety. Sevilla, who had centre-back Tanguy Nianzou sent off in the 38th minute, are two points above the relegation zone.

Alaves equalised twice against Osasuna to move three points clear of danger as their opponents moved ninth. Asier Osambela was sent off for the visitors after the final goal.

Bundesliga results: Union vs St Pauli, Frankfurt vs Koln

St Pauli, who had Jackson Irvine sent off in the 93rd minute at midtable Union Berlin, are third-bottom of the Bundesliga and two points behind Koln immediately above them, as well as holding a significant goal inferiority.

Koln came back to draw at Frankfurt, leaving their seventh-placed hosts 10 points from a European qualification position.

Ligue 1 results: Angers vs Lyon, Metz vs Nantes, Lorient vs Paris, Le Havre vs Auxerre, Monaco vs Marseille

Lyon remain fifth and inside the European qualification places by two points in Ligue 1, sharing a draw that lifted Angers to 12th.

Bottom side Metz and second-bottom Nantes look doomed to relegation after drawing, and Lorient and Paris FC traded second-half goals to remain on course for midtable finishes.

Third-bottom Auxerre are four points from safety after being pegged back by Le Havre, who are five points above them.

Monaco moved above Marseille to fifth and are a point behind third-placed Lille after a seventh straight top-flight win and an eighth on their current 10-match unbeaten run in the division.

Cremonese vs Bologna, Pisa vs Torino, Inter vs Roma

Cremonese are inside the Serie A relegation zone on goal difference courtesy of a defeat at home to eighth-placed Bologna, with Youssef Maleh sent off for the hosts and Lewis Ferguson dismissed for their opponents during second-half added time.

Che Adams scored the only goal as Torino won for the first time in seven away matches, ending a three-match losing run on the road to rise to 12th and leave bottom club Pisa nine points from safety.

Inter are nine points clear of second placed Milan having played a game more after scoring four goals inside 22 minutes either side of half-time to thrash Roma, who are sixth by four points and three points behind fourth-placed Como.
