Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton and Hannah Dodd opened up about their characters in Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2. In an exclusive chat with Filmfare, Claudia Jessie reflected on her evolving connection with Eloise Bridgerton and why she chooses to support her character’s chaos rather than control it. Speaking candidly about Eloise’s fiery spirit in Bridgerton, Jessie admitted there have been moments of inner conflict.
“We’ve had many a bust up actually! (laughs) But honestly, no, I don’t think so. I respect and love her right to be able to try and find things out. I don’t try to box up the character. I don’t try to put my two cents before analysing the situation that Eloise is going through,” she said. For Jessie, playing Eloise isn’t about steering her toward perfection. It is about allowing her to stumble, question and grow. She revealed, “I am of the opinion that you have got to let people learn and discover that they were right all along. Sometimes, people want to make mistakes as well. I’ve wanted to make loads of mistakes in the past. I am more of a cheerleader than anything. I’m like, ‘Go on girl. Do what you got to.'”
That philosophy of encouragement extends beyond her character and into her real-life relationships on set, particularly with co-star Yerin Ha. Jessie lights up while speaking about her. She noted, “I would have to say, anything that got to do with Yerin. Meeting and welcoming Yerin has been great. She is unbelievable. She is a beautiful person and the most perfect blend of someone who takes her work seriously. But you know what, she does not take herself seriously. That’s a fine blend. She is just class. I love her so much.”

Bridgerton Season 4 Part 2 is exclusively streaming on Netflix. It stars Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton and Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek.
