Nawazuddin Siddiqui is proud of daughter Shora! And rightly so. The actor tells us she has already achieved many certifications in her journey and is preparing for more challenges. Interestingly, Nawaz wants her to study more before getting into the commercial aspect of cinema. During an exclusive interview with Filmfare for his new film Main Actor Nahin Hoon, Nawazuddin shares about her daughter’s passion and his advice to her during challenging times.
“Abhi toh woh padh rahi hain. Usko aur aage badhna hain. Aur beech mein main chah raha hoon usko courses karwa doon (Now she is studying. She has to go far in life. I also want to help her join some courses,” he begins. “I have advised her to get into London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art or Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for better understanding of the craft. She can learn there for two to three years,” he shares.

As we were seated at his house, Nawaz also showed us Shora’s acting certifications like a proud father. “She is very proud of them,” he adds. He concludes, “Inka yeh hain ki training bahut zaruri hain. Mera bhi yehi manna hain. (These institutes focus on training. I also believe in the same.)”

Nawazuddin is currently promoting his new film, Aditya Kripalani directed Main Actor Nahin Hoon, which has already garnered enough buzz. It is about a melancholic banker who suddenly meets a struggling actor during an audition. The two interact via Zoom throughout the film, as they rediscover parts of their selves. Alongside Nawaz, the movie also stars Chitrangada Satarupa in a leading role. It is slated to release theatrically on May 8, 2026.
