Following the blockbuster success of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar in the Telugu states, the makers are planning to release a separate Telugu-dubbed version of its second part in March 2026. Industry sources indicate that the overwhelming response from Telugu audiences has prompted the team to reconsider its release strategy for the sequel.

“Telugu audiences have lapped up the action-adventure and made it a big winner. Hence, the makers are keen on releasing a dedicated Telugu version for part two,” says a source, adding that director Aditya Dhar’s film has struck a strong chord with viewers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. “The film has already collected close to Rs 20 crore share in the Telugu states and is expected to touch Rs 30 crore plus in days to come with the holiday season adding footfalls,” he adds.

According to the distributor, Ranveer Singh’s performance emerged as a major highlight, alongside Akshaye Khanna’s impactful role. The intense Pakistan-based storyline also resonated with non-Hindi audiences. Initially, the makers had planned to release a Telugu-dubbed version of Dhurandhar on December 19, two weeks after its Hindi release on December 5. However, the idea was dropped following advice from Telugu distributors.

“With a large section of Telugu audiences, especially in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana, opting to watch the Hindi version, a dubbed release at that point would have seen limited traction,” the source explains.

Confirming the development, leading producer and exhibitor Suneil Narang says, “Releasing the second part within a short span is a smart move and could set a new trend for sequels. Dhurandhar turned out to be a huge blockbuster in the Telugu states, with young audiences in particular loving the intense action drama.”

He adds, “Ranveer Singh breathed life into his role, and the performances elevated the film further. Releasing a Telugu-dubbed version of part two will help the makers fully capitalise on the immense craze,” he concludes.
