Gabby has been drafted in to lead the evening alongside the former England and Liverpool defender. The 2026 Women’s Football Awards will shine a spotlight on the figures shaping the sport’s future – both on and off the pitch.
And Gabby said of the occasion: “This event shines a deserved spotlight on the star athletes, dedicated teams and organisations behind the extraordinary rise of women’s football. It’s going to be a brilliant night celebrating how far the game has come.”

Among those up for a nomination include Arsenal star Alessia Russo and Tottenham Hotspur ace Lenna Gunning-Williams. Manchester United’s Maya Le Tissier has also been recognised.

There will be a number of celebrities involved on the night too. Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts is among those with a part to play, as is Spice Girl Melanie C.
Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu and telly favourites Amanda Holden, Claire Sweeney, Kate Thornton, and Dame Darcey Bussell are also among some of the big names to have attended the ceremony in the past.
Meanwhile, the annual event has also been backed by Sir David Beckham who is expected to attend the ceremony in May.
