Gaurav Kapur Reveals His First Interaction With His Now-Wife, Kritika Kamra, ‘We Talked For An Hour’

Recently, in an interview with Manifest India, Gaurav Kapur opened up about his now-wife, Kritika Kamra. Gaurav revealed that the first time they spoke to each other, it felt easy, and they ended up talking for an hour. He shared that Kritika’s calmness surprised him. He added that Kritika has deep views on life, and they complement each other in a way. Talking about commitment, he stated that it is to have her back always. Gaurav even added that Kritika is plain while he tries to push her to try new things. He was quoted as saying:

“I remember the first time we spoke very clearly. We talked for an hour, and it was just easy. What surprised me was her calmness. I’m very reactive, very instant, and she has a long view on life. We complement each other that way. Commitment now means having her back always, making sure she can be the best version of herself. She’s the plane — I just try to be the tailwind pushing her forward.”

Talking about Kritika’s look for the wedding, she revealed that she wasn’t trying to make a statement on her big day. She just wanted to feel comfortable, so she thought of choosing a piece from her mother’s brand, Chanderi, which felt like home. She also talked about her second look, which was a Dior dress and stated that she had studied at Galliano in college, so she chose a vintage piece, which felt close to her heart. She said:

“I wasn’t trying to make a statement. I just wanted to feel like myself. The sari was always going to happen. It’s from my mother’s brand, it’s Chanderi, it’s home. The Dior was personal in another way. I studied Galliano in college, so wearing a vintage piece felt full circle. Both outfits had a story, and that mattered more than anything else.”

They fell in love while shooting for the show, Kitani Mohabbat Hai.
