Celebs Go Dating star Gemma Collins shares what her reality TV future holds – as she reveals the regular phone calls with the TOWIE team hoping to secure her as a returning cast member
Gemma Collins has become a regular face on reality TV shows since she first appeared on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2011. Now 44 and engaged to businessman Rami Hawash, the Essex-bon TV personality has racked up appearances on I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Celebs Go Dating, to name a few, as well as her own Gemma Collins: Diva series.
Next, fans will see her return to screens in what she calls “two major” new shows, and she’s already planning more work for 2027. “So I’m already back in a huge way. I’ve already smashed out next year. I’m a year ahead – currently I’m in 2027. I’m lucky that I can pick and choose what I want to do now. I will only do shows where I think it’ll be fun.”

Following the return of other original TOWIE cast members including Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger, Gemma admits there’s been regular phone calls with producers about a possible GC return, but says that ship has sailed for her.
“The [TOWIE team] ring me all the time,” she said. “Look, I’m very fond of the show and it’s what made me. It’s the show that got me my beautiful home, but we do all move on in life. And I have moved on.”
Gemma is also gearing up for another big event next year; her wedding to Rami, who popped the question in February last year.
Gemma says she’s finally achieved the prefect balance between work and her personal life – which includes being a devoted stepmum to Rami’s seven-year-old son Tristan.
“I can mix career and family these days,” she said. “I’ve just enjoyed being a stepmum and a normal girl for a bit, because I hadn’t had that for so many years. Everything has come full circle now.
“I held off having a family for so many years because I was so career-focused. Then the family came along and I have Rami now. It’s life experience and my life has taken me on that natural path.”
She continued, “Now I’m ready to come back and I can combine the family version of myself and the career version to give people the real authentic me, not someone who is fake.”
When it comes to her’s and Rami’s big day, however, Gemma says she has every intention of roping in some help to make it happen, adding, “I’ll have a wedding planner. They’ll take care of it. I’ll just say, “Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no.” That’s it. But I’m really excited, of course I am.”
