Gemma Collins is ready to tie the knot with her fiancé Rami Hawash and can’t wait to have her fairytale ending after a tough year and a rollercoaster love life

Gemma Collins is finally getting her fairytale ending, saying she is “winning in life” now as she prepares to tie the knot with long-term fiancé Rami Hawash.

The star has been planning her big day since last year and fans are in for a real treat, as it’s all set to be documented in her upcoming Sky reality show, Four Weddings And A Baby.

The course of true love hasn’t always run smoothly for the Only Way Is Essex star, who has battled through her fair share of romantic ups and downs over the years.

“Gemma has been through a lot of heartbreak and tears, but this has only made her stronger and now she is happy and confident in herself,” a source tells new. “She and Rami are so in love and they can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.”

Gemma’s new reality show was first announced last summer and promises an “intimate and emotional” look into her life as she prepares to tie the knot with Rami, 50.

The star – who is a doting stepmum to Rami’s son Tristan, eight – said at the time, “This really is the most important year of my life, and for the first time people will get to see the Gemma behind the GC.

“Over the next year I will be planning my wedding and beginning the steps into starting a family… I want to let the world see the real raw me sharing the most intimate and personal times in my life.”

Gemma, who’ll be back on our screens next week in I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, certainly seems to have fulfilled that promise. At a launch event for the show earlier this month, viewers saw her breaking down over fears for her beloved mother Joan’s health. She is also seen battling her emotions as she struggles with the challenges of her IVF journey, which she admits made her and Rami’s relationship take “a hit”.

But as her big day approaches, she’s looking positively to the future – although anyone expecting a lavish, star-studded ceremony could be in for a surprise, as Gemma has revealed she’s set her heart on a more low-key affair.

“You know, with me, I do things very quickly,” she said last month. “I don’t want a big showbiz wedding. I couldn’t take the pressure on the day. You’ve got to remember, outside the GC persona, I’m just Gemma. My wedding will be different from what people would think. I’m not a major planner, I’m a last-minute sort of girl. And that suits me just fine, because so much of my life is planned and I like to be spontaneous.”

Gemma and businessman Rami first met in 2011, and he proposed in 2013 with a diamond ring hidden inside a Christmas pudding. They sadly split the following year, with Gemma, 45, going on to have a rocky on-off romance with her TOWIE co-star James Argent.

She called it quits with Arg in 2020, following years of dramatic bust-ups. Opening up about their troubled relationship on Piers Morgan ’s Life Stories, she said there was a lot of love there, but admitted it “turned very sour” due to Arg’s battle with drug addiction.

During breaks from her romance with Arg, Gemma had an ill-fated fling with TOWIE ’s Charlie King, who later came out as gay, and in 2015 she dated jailbird Stephen Mortimer, who had previously spent time in prison for GBH.

After appearing on Celebs Go Dating in 2018, she had a brief romance with car importer Laurence Hearn – before dumping him live on Loose Women. After splitting from Arg once and for all in 2020, Gemma and Rami secretly rekindled their romance, and in February 2024, he popped the question for a second time during a holiday in the Maldives.

Gemma, who lost 3.5st with the help of Mounjaro injections, was originally due to marry her “forever love” Rami in 2025, but the wedding was delayed due to multiple family illnesses – including the hospitalisation of her mum Joan, 70. Happily, they are finally due to tie the knot in the coming months.

At the beginning of the year, jubilant Gemma shared the news of her and Rami’s plans to get hitched and start a family, posting on Instagram, “It was the final drink of champagne as I have a wedding to plan !! yes I’m getting married this year and YES I’m having a baby.”

She previously spoke of her plans for a “mythical” wedding, revealing that she took spiritual guidance when scheduling her big day. “I spoke to my astrologer and that is the year to get married,” she said, adding that her close pals, Irish pop duo Jedward, would perform and play “a major role” at the ceremony.

With Gemma in charge, the bash is guaranteed to make headlines – and our source says marriage will mark a new, positive chapter in her story.

“Although she’s been through a lot, she’s stronger than ever,” the source said. “Despite past heartaches, she is determined to get married and have her dream. She will never forget the past and what has happened, but it helps her realise how far she has come and how happy she is now.”
