George Clooney, Debbie McGee and Russell Brand’s lavish homes in Berkshire have been left swamped after the River Thames burst through the banks, causing havoc across the surrounding areas
George Clooney, Russell Brand and Debbie McGee’s stunning homes have been left covered in Water. The trio of stars who reside in Berkshire live close to the edges of the River Thames.
In recent weeks, the county has been hit with flood alerts due to rising water levels, as the nation continues to be battered with rain. So far, Britain has seen rain pouring every day this year, with water levels reaching unprecedented levels. Flood warnings were issued for Remenham, where under fire comic Brand lives, as well as Wargrave, where former Strictly star Debbie resides.
Meanwhile, George and his human rights lawyer wife, Amal, reside in Sonning, but the riverside location of their home, which they reportedly paid £12million for, comes at a cost. Their sprawling garden and tennis courts have been riddled with water after the Thames burst its banks.
The government’s flooding service has continued to monitor the risk of flooding, which remains possible in designated areas. The government website has urged locals to “be prepared”, adding “flooding is possible”. It states for Henley, Remenham and Medmenham and its tributaries: “Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected to continue over the coming days, especially in the Henley area. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days and remain responsive to further rainfall.”
In Wargrave, there is a flood alert for the wider area. But for the Clooneys, the flood agency has warned residents to be prepared for the coming days.
