Giants sign Daniel Faalele after he was Ravens lightning rod under John Harbaugh

John Harbaugh stuck by Daniel Faalele through two roller-coaster seasons with the Ravens and now the loyalty extends to the Giants.

The Giants are signing Faalele to a one-year contract, The Post confirmed, and will add the 6-foot-8 former fourth-round pick into a right guard mix that includes Evan Neal, Josh Ezeudu and Lucas Patrick.

Faalele might actually have the edge given that he started the final 34 games of Harbaugh’s tenure with the Ravens. He became a lightning rod for disgruntled fans whose anger only grew each time that Harbaugh defended his play.

Sounds a lot like Neal’s tenure in New York, though Neal was a first-round pick whose durability became a problem. Neither Neal or Ezeudu played a single snap last season.

Faalele was ranked as the No. 52 guard (out of 79) in the NFL by Pro Football Focus last season. He allowed five sacks and committed eight penalties over the last two seasons combined.

The Giants and Faalele were in talks from the first few days of free agency, The Post previously reported, but both sides waited to see how the market played out.

The recent signings of Faalele and Patrick (65 career starts) could spell the end of free agent Greg Van Roten’s tenure. He didn’t miss a snap in two years as a Giants starter.
