Two months ago, the Giants were 2-4, riding high after beating the Philadelphia Eagles at home on “Thursday Night Football” and leading the Denver Broncos 19-0 in the third quarter of their game.
Looking back now, it was the peak of the Giants’ season and since that fourth quarter collapse, the team hasn’t won a game. In fact they’ve found just about every way to lose a game over the past seven games.
Luckily for the Giants, the only team that has a longer active losing streak in the NFL is the Washington Commanders.
Oddsmakers are giving the Giants the edge in this Week 15 matchup as the G-Men enter Sunday 2.5-point favorites with the Over/Under sitting at 46.5.
Giants vs. Commanders odds, prediction
A Sunday afternoon clash between the Giants and Commanders is effectively meaningless outside of their eventual place in the standings. The Giants have the inside track for the No. 1 pick and the easiest remaining strength-of-schedule per Tankathon.
The next four games should be a good opportunity for Jaxson Dart to build up his confidence with games against two of the NFL’s worst defensive teams: the Commanders and Dallas Cowboys.
The Commanders rank 27th in the NFL in passing yards allowed (260.9 per game) and passing touchdowns allowed (2 per game).

The Giants were one of the last teams in the league to have a bye week and after getting pummeled for seven weeks, a week off should allow them to be fresher this week.
Dart in particular should have a little more bounce in his step. His quick adjustment to the NFL level has been one of the few bright spots for this team. While he has taken some heat for his sometimes reckless play style, he’s such an effective runner that I don’t expect him to stop using his legs when he has a chance to scramble for yards.
Betting on the NFL?
There a couple of ways I think Dart can be effective Sunday, but the one I’m targeting is his anytime touchdown prop. Dart has scored a touchdown in six of his eight starts this season.
The Commanders have allowed 50 redzone attempts and 32 redzone touchdowns this season, both marks rank among the four teams in the NFL.
I also think there’s betting value on Dart’s passing touchdown prop at 1.5 because the Commanders have allowed the third-most passing touchdowns in the league this season.
The Pick: Jaxson Dart Anytime TD (+175, BetMGM) | Jaxson Dart Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+150, BetRivers)
