Justin Bieber, who married the then Hailey Baldwin in 2018 and has since had a son with her, made a highly anticipated return to the Grammys stage after four years on Sunday

Hailey and Justin Bieber are said to be “in such a strong place right now”.

Concern had grown for Justin’s wellbeing last year when the singer, 31, hinted that he was struggling with imposter syndrome. He left fans worried with a series of cryptic social media messages, including an Instagram post what told supporters “we don’t owe anyone anything”.

But the artist performed Yukon — which was nominated for Best R&B Performance Grammy — wearing nothing but a pair of purple satin boxer shorts (which matched his guitar) and black socks at the award ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles. The performance, Justin’s first at the Grammys since 2022, was praised by critics, who noted 29-year-old Hailey offered her husband immense support at the ceremony.

“She’s been right there throughout and watched him build the album (Swag, released in July 2025) from the ground up. She was so proud seeing his vision come to light onstage,” a source told PEOPLE. The insider added they feel Hailey and Justin, who wed in 2018, are “in such a strong place right now”.

Hailey, from Tucson, Arizona, shared a photograph to her Instagram Stories just a few hours after the 2026 Grammys, showing herself and her husband posing in a lift. While Justin was wearing baggy jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie worn open to reveal his tattooed chest, the beauty entrepreneur opted for a beaded, backless mini dress.

The model captioned the picture: “That’s my baby”. The cute image shows Justin, who himself has won two Grammys, puffing on a cigar with Hailey beside him.

But last year was a difficult one for the couple with speculation rife they had split. Tensions became so strained Justin, born in Ontario, Canada, took aim at his spouse with feisty social media posts. The situation appeared to improve though, as by the summer, it was understood the couple intended to try for another baby.

Now things again appear rosy. A second source told PEOPLE: “They were very excited to attend the Grammys together. It was a big deal to them. Hailey’s always so proud of Justin and incredibly supportive. She’ll be at Coachella too. She loves watching him perform.

“They’re doing great as a couple. They really just ignore the noise and focus on their own lives. Their day-to-day life is pretty simple. They work and then spend as much family time as possible. They’re great parents. Jack is the cutest, happiest little boy.”

Justin, who has had five UK number one single as lead artist, released Swag in July last year. Swag became the singer’s first album in four years.
