TEHRAN – The Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, has intensified its military campaign against the Zionist regime, opening a new regional front after the martyrdom of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Hezbollah fighters have launched a series of operations in a 24-hour time frame including rocket strikes against Israeli forces and settlements in northern occupied Palestine, while also confronting advancing troops along the Lebanese border.
The Lebanese resistance has said the operations are part of its military front supporting Iran following the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei, the spiritual and political leader for hundreds of millions of Muslims throughout the Islamic world.
Hezbollah says it is also retaliating for the Zionist regime’s indiscriminate bombardments of Lebanon that have killed some 400 civilians over the past week.
According to statements by Hezbollah’s military wing, fighters fired rockets at a concentration of Israeli troops and vehicles close to the Lebanese border town of Adaisseh.
A separate rocket barrage targeted the northern settlement of Kiryat Shmona, which Hezbollah had warned settlers to evacuate.
Clashes also unfolded along the same frontier as Hezbollah said forces of the Israeli regime attempted to advance toward Adaisseh, prompting exchanges of machine-gun fire and rocket-propelled grenades that forced the troops to withdraw.
Additional artillery strikes targeted Israeli occupation units moving near the border towns of Adaisseh and Aitaroun.
In a separate development, Hezbollah said it confronted an attempted airborne operation by the Israeli regime along Lebanon’s eastern mountain range near the Syrian border. Fighters detected around 15 military helicopters approaching from Syrian airspace and flying over southern Lebanese villages.
The group said some helicopters landed troops in the Syrian Serghaya area near the Lebanese border, triggering intense clashes as Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force repelled the incursion with what it described as “appropriate weapons.” A source within the group told local media that at least one Israeli helicopter was hit during the confrontation.
Lebanese state media also reported heavy fighting near the outskirts of Nabi Shayth village as Israeli warplanes and drones circled overhead.
The fighting followed sustained cross-border exchanges as Hezbollah intensified attacks on Israeli military sites and settlements across northern occupied Palestine.
Hezbollah said its fighters shot down an Israeli Hermes-450 drone over Wadi al-Saluki in southern Lebanon and launched rocket salvos against Israeli positions, including the logistics base at the Zionist Misgav Base. It also deployed explosive drones against concentration of Israeli troops opposite the Lebanese border village of Markaba.
The resistance also targeted occupation forces attempting to move near the border area around Mais al-Jabal with artillery fire.
Hezbollah also carried out a series of longer-range attacks deeper into the northern occupied territories. Rockets and drones struck the coastal settlement of Nahariya, while additional rockets targeted the naval base in Haifa.
Israeli media reported air-raid sirens across multiple northern areas, including the Western Galilee and Haifa, amid heavy incoming missiles and drones.
Hezbollah said the attacks were part of a broader escalation in response to Israeli strikes across Lebanon, including bombardment of cities, towns and Beirut’s southern suburbs.
The Zionist regime acknowledged casualties among its soldiers in several incidents along the Lebanese border, including a strike by an anti-tank missile on a military bulldozer operating in southern Lebanon. The regime further announced that at least three soldiers were killed in fighting.
The cross-border exchanges followed a day in which Hezbollah said it carried out dozens of operations against Israeli positions and infrastructure. The attacks included rocket strikes on military bases, drone operations against industrial and military facilities near Haifa, and artillery fire targeting troop movements near the frontier.
Hebrew outlets also reported that large rocket barrages were launched from Lebanon toward northern areas under Israeli control, with dozens of projectiles fired within a short period. Some strikes caused damage in Haifa and the surrounding areas.
Hezbollah additionally issued more warnings to settlers in Nahariya and Kiryat Shmona, urging them to evacuate southward before the strikes.
In a message circulated to its fighters, Hezbollah’s military leadership said the confrontation would continue and informed combatants to intensify the fight.
The statement linked the ongoing campaign to the legacy of senior figures in the group, including secretary-general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, framing the escalation as part of the broader regional struggle aligned with Iran.
The developments mark a widening of the Lebanon front as Hezbollah increases military pressure on the Israeli regime while positioning itself as a key ally of Tehran following the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Lebanese resistance movement has combined rocket barrages, drone attacks and close-range border clashes, signaling a sustained escalation along the occupied Palestine frontier.
