I just became CEO of one of education’s Big 3. Here’s why AI will never replace a great teacher

Philip Moyer is President and Chief Executive Officer, McGraw Hill. He previously served as CEO of Vimeo, and also spent five years at Alphabet, helping launch Google’s Generative AI strategy as Global VP of Applied AI Engineering and Business Development for Google Cloud, having joining the division in July 2019 as VP of Strategic Industries.

Moyer also served as CEO of financial technology companies EDGAR Online, a provider of financial data and analytics solutions, and Cassiopae, a French software company in the commercial banking market. He also served in various roles at Amazon and Microsoft, where he spent 15 years managing global customer teams.

Earlier in his career, Moyer co-founded IEP+ Orion System Group, where he built one of the first digital Individualized Education Programs designed to help K-12 schools manage special education curriculums, testing scores and regulatory reporting.
