What is the story of Imperfect Women about? 

At the centre of the psychological thriller, Imperfect Women are three women, ‘Mary’, ‘Eleanor’, and ‘Nancy’, who have been friends for a long time. ‘Mary’ is a married mother going through mental health issues, ‘Eleanor’ can be seen as a single but successful entrepreneur, while ‘Nancy’ is a wealthy philanthropist, married to an equally wealthy man named ‘Robert’. Well, the story of Imperfect Women is set in motion with the shocking murder of ‘Nancy.’ 

From the very start, it seemed like ‘Nancy’ had the most enviable life, complete with a devoted husband and a loving daughter. However, her death has led to a mystery which no one had previously expected: a secret love whose identity dies along with ‘Nancy’.  

While Nancy was still alive, she embodied elegance and success. Those around her often admired her for her beauty. Her wealth and social standing also made her respected among her peers. The warmth that she showed people also led them to cherish and love her. Well, although ‘Nancy’s’ life on the outside seemed perfect, her death quickly shatters that illusion. With investigators struggling to find a suspect or a motive in the first place, ‘Nancy’s’ absence has disturbed the fragile comfort of her close ones.  

In the wake of ‘Nancy’s’ death, ‘Mary’ and ‘Eleanor’ are left to struggle with not only grief but also uncertainty. As they try to grapple with what happened, they begin noticing inconsistencies in their memories. Details they had overlooked in the past make them replay their conversations and see casual remarks in a new light. Interestingly, in the process, ‘Mary’ and ‘Eleanor’ come face to face with their own insecurities and secrets. 

When and where to watch Imperfect Women on OTT? 

Psychological thriller fans who are eagerly looking forward to watching Imperfect Women can catch the show starting March 18, 2026. It is an Apple TV Original show and will air its first two episodes during its premiere at 12 am ET. According to reports, Imperfect Women will have 8 episodes in total, and after its premiere, viewers will be able to stream one new episode weekly until April 29, 2026.  

Imperfect Women features a star-studded cast  

The main trio in Imperfect Women will be played by Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington, and Kate Mara. Alongside them, the series also features some well-known names among its supporting cast. This includes Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr, Rome Flynn, Audrey Zahn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Jill Wagner. Other actors who appear on Imperfect Women are Violette Linnz, Jackson Kelly, Indiana Elle, Ana Ortiz, Keith Carradine, and Wilson Bethel.  

Imperfect Women is based on a 2020 novel of the same name written by author, Araminta Hall. The show was created by Annie Weisman. For those unaware, she was also behind some other famous works like Physical and Based on a True Story.
