New Delhi:The INDIA bloc Opposition alliance is all set to release its joint manifesto in Patna on Tuesday evening. The event is expected to see leaders of all the parties who are contesting the elections together. After the bitterness over the seat-sharing issues, the release of a joint manifesto will come as a boost to the INDIA bloc parties.
The RJD has already announced several “guarantees” for the people of Bihar if it wins the elections. Now, the joint manifesto is expected to encapsulate all the points that were mentioned by the RJD. It will also have points from the point of view of the Congress, the Left parties and the VIP party.
Earlier, both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav had gone on a joint yatra across the entire state of Bihar. They had also been raising several issues of governance in the state and highlighted the issue of “Vote Chori” in the state. The Opposition parties allege that the arbitrary deletion of names from the voters’ list was causing great difficulty to ordinary voters in the state.
Soon after the release of the manifesto, the Opposition alliance is expected to launch a campaign offensive in the whole of Bihar. On October 29, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will address joint rallies in Bihar. The first rally will be in Sakra, Muzaffarpur, for the Congress candidate, while the second rally will be in Darbhanga, where the RJD candidate is contesting the election.
The dates of AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s rallies in Bihar have been changed and these will now take place on October 30 and November 1. Earlier, this was due to begin on October 28, coinciding with the manifesto release.
The first phase of polling will be on November 6 and the second phase on November 11. The election results will be declared on November 14.
