Anita Verma-Lallian, an Indian-origin real estate developer and film producer, has made headlines after purchasing the Los Angeles home where actor Matthew Perry was found dead. Acquired for $8.55 million, the property is located in Pacific Palisades and features stunning ocean views.
Upon acquiring the home, Lallian performed a traditional Hindu ‘puja’ ceremony to honor Perry’s spirit and legacy. She expressed her deep admiration for the house, stating that her decision to buy it was based on her love for its features, particularly the breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean, rather than its tragic history.
In her Instagram post, she shared her excitement about the purchase and emphasized that every property carries its own history and energy. Lallian plans to retain some of the home’s original design elements, including a Batman logo in the pool, which reflects Perry’s personal interests.
Lallian’s heartfelt tribute to Perry highlights her intention to create new memories in what she describes as a “piece of paradise.” The home, built in 1965 and spanning 3,500 square feet, was extensively renovated by Perry after he purchased it for $6 million in 2020.
