The brand new season of Selling Sunset has brought many explosive moments
A brand new season of Selling Sunset has returned to screens with no shortage of explosive moments.
Season 9 of the property show has finally landed on Netflix, picking right up where season eight left off. The ten-episode series takes viewers back to Los Angeles, which was hit by devastating wildfires earlier this year.
And there’s been no shortage of drama, as scenes so far have seen Nicole Young admit she was “literally blind” and Mary Fitzgerald storming off camera and refusing to film in heated scenes.
Mary has been open and honest about a terrifying ordeal that saw her home ransacked by three masked men, with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of items taken.
Mary, who has appeared on the programme since 2019, lives in Los Angeles with her spouse, Romain, after they bought their first property together in 2022.
But when co-star Chelsea sent her flowers, the act did not go down well with Mary. Storming out, Mary fumed: “No, I’m not doing this.”
She later said she was done filming as she said: “I’m done filming, I’m not gonna continue. You have no idea.”
Taking to Reddit, some fans had their say on Mary’s behaviour as one person wrote: “Mary seems messier than usual this season.”
Another said, “Mary really overreacted! Christ. It is just flowers.”
Is Mary Fitzgerald leaving Selling Sunset?
Tensions continued to rise on the show, with Mary looking for a new property to rent outside of LA, admitting she did not feel safe after the burglary. She said: “Safety right now is the first thing on my mind, and so I’m just thinking about renting a house outside of LA.
“After the burglary, I just want to find some place where I have peace of mind.”
Despite her co-stars not being a “huge fan”, Mary said on the incident: “I’m still pretty messed up, I realised I’m not safe.”
At a dinner party during episode 8, things turned explosive when a full-blown argument broke out, prompting Mary to wonder whether she should leave the group.
Arguing about the flowers, which Mary claimed were “not genuine” from Chelsea, Chelsea defended her actions as she said: “I’m in your corner even if me and you are not friends.”
However, after storming out, Mary later went to see boss Jason as she told him: “I just don’t know if this is the place I want to be, I just want simple and I want happy and I don’t know why that’s so hard.”
Jason confessed that the “office dynamic has to get better,” as he said he did not want to lose the star.
Mary was seen speaking to the cameras as she said, “It makes me wonder if a change is needed and is in the cards for me too.”
However, after some consideration, it appears Mary has ultimately decided to stay for now, as according to the Oppenheim Group website: “As Vice President of The Oppenheim Group, Mary attains over 15 years of Real Estate Experience.
“Representing both buyers and sellers in LA’s luxury real estate market and accruing over 105 million in sales, Mary sets herself apart with unrivaled work ethic, integrity, and honesty.”
Fans can find out more when the reunion episode airs on November 5 on Netflix.
