Raghav Juyal’s recent ventures in Bollywood, including Kill, Gyaarah Gyaarah and The Ba***ds of Bollywood have been successful. As per a recent report by Variety, the actor has bagged his biggest project yet. The report states that he has joined the cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which is coming out in two parts.
Ramayana already boasts a stellar star cast. Leading the tribe is Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, followed by Sai Pallavi as Sita. Ravie Dubey will be helming the role of Lakshman, while Yash will be seen as Raavana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The cast also includes Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal and Lara Dutta. But where does Raghav fit in? The report further states that Raghav will play the role of Meghanad (also referred to as Indrajit). He is the eldest son of Ravana and the crown prince of Lanka.
Interestingly, Raghav won’t be a part of Ramayana: Part 1. His role will mostly be featured in the second part, tentatively releasing in Diwali 2027. Raghav reportedly wasn’t supposed to join the cast with this role. The role was going to Vikrant Massey but the collaboration did not come to fruition. Raghav was approached later and he agreed to work on it immediately. While the actor is resting and catering to some of his injuries, he is expected to begin filming as soon as possible.

About Meghanad
Meghanad is one of the most powerful warriors in the Ramayana. As stated earlier in the report, he is the son of Ravana, the king of Lanka. He earned the name Meghanad after his thunderous roar on the battlefield, said to sound like clouds rumbling. A master of illusion and celestial weapons, Indrajit was granted boons by Lord Brahma that made him nearly invincible, especially when fighting after special rituals. He played a crucial role in the war against Ram and famously defeated both Rama and Lakshmana using the Nagastra. Ultimately, Lakshmana kills him with divine guidance.
