A source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack:

“She gave Arizona everything she had. Every ounce of energy went into finding her mom. She can leave knowing she did absolutely everything possible.”

Further, the insider added that Savannah’s main support system now remains in New York. She feels steady there and has her two young children, who need a sense of routine and stability. At the same time, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, leading the case himself, acknowledged the long-term nature and uncertainty in the case, which now shows no immediate signs of resolution. However, the news is not confirmed by any official sources. Even if Savannah heads back to NYC, she might not resume public appearances immediately.

But recent reports from Variety and the NY Daily News hint that NBC expects her to return to her role on Today. According to Variety, based on insider information, there is “no reason for her not to return,” and the network is making a way for her comeback to Studio 1A at Rockefeller Centre. Meanwhile, her husband, Michael Feldman, visited her studio and allegedly reassured staff about her well-being and her subsequent return. Still, sources claim that she may take a week or two to settle back into family life before appearing on air.

At the same time, the FBI has also released footage of a masked suspect seen near her home, who was described as approximately 5’9″ to 5’10” in height. He had an average build and carried a distinctive Ozark Trail backpack, making him a critical suspect in the case.
