The new wave of airstrikes comes after Iran launched a barrage of counterattacks against the Jewish state and US targets across the Middle East in retaliation for the joint US-Israeli strikes earlier Saturday morning.
“We now face a significant, decisive and unprecedented operation to dismantle the capabilities of the Iranian terrorist regime,” Israel’s military chief Eyal Zamir said in a televised statement.
