Japan’s H3 Rocket Sends New Cargo Vehicle to Space Station

KAGOSHIMA, Oct 26 (News On Japan) –
Japan’s H3 Rocket No. 7, carrying a newly developed unmanned cargo spacecraft, successfully launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture at 9 a.m. on October 26th, marking another milestone for the nation’s space program.

The rocket continued its flight smoothly and, about 14 minutes after liftoff, placed the onboard HTV-X No. 1 into its planned orbit, completing the mission as scheduled.

The HTV-X, developed as the successor to the “Kounotori” cargo craft that operated until 2020, is designed to deliver food, experiment equipment, and other supplies to the International Space Station.
