Jeremy Clarkson has introduced a new furry family member to Diddly Squat Farm ahead of the new series of Clarkson’s Fam which is expected to hit Amazon Prime this spring

Jeremy Clarkson has welcomed a new arrival to Diddly Squat Farm as he shared a sweet snap of an adorable donkey, as Clarkson’s farm is set to return to Prime Video this spring. The TV presenter shared the picture to his social media where he also shared the creatures moniker.

Jeremy wrote: “Please welcome to Diddly Squat. New Ben.” It has been reported that the new donkey has replaced a previous donkey, also called Ben, who was often shared on social media alongside fellow donkey Bill.

Fans rushed to the comments to share their excitement on the new addition, one fan wrote: “Oh my god what a dashing donk. Look at that big sparkly eye”, while another added: “Aww he is gorgeous but he needs a friend though. They don’t like to be alone.”

One concerned fan wrote: “I hope you have another donkey for Ben, donkeys shouldn’t live on their own and other livestock aren’t suitable companions”, to which Jeremy replied: “Yes. We know that.”

The update follows after Jeremy delivered some disappointing news to fans of Clarkson’s Farm and shared they had to pause filming for the sixth series of the popular programme due to inclement weather.

Clarkson broke the unfortunate news in his column for The Sunday Times, penning: “On the face of it, I’m a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run.

“I have a brewery, a shop, and a pub, and I host Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and its new spin-off series, and I write three newspaper columns every week. I’m therefore a one-man blizzard of productivity and action. A human whirlwind. Except I’m not. There’s no filming happening on the farm at the moment,” he continued.

“Or farming. It hasn’t stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can’t plant anything, and I can’t do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB.”

The fifth series is anticipated to premiere on Prime in May, following the pattern of the previous two series, which were launched around the same period. With an expected run of eight episodes, fans will have plenty to look forward to later this year.
