Katie Price’s son Junior Andre has revealed how the model is behind closed doors as her family engage in ‘honest’ conversations about her well-being and weight loss

Katie Price’s son, Junior Andre, has revealed what his mum is like behind closed doors. It comes after the former Page 3 model turned reality star has left those closest to her concerned about her weight loss and her well-being.

Price, 47, has spoken openly about her weight loss and how she believes it’s down to medical issues. But her friends and family, as well as her dedicated social media fans, have been left concerned for her.

Earlier this week, Katie appeared unsteady on her feet while attending an event hosted by The Only Way Is Essex star Yasmin Oukhellou in Hertfordshire. Katie appeared frail as she wore a pair of brown see-through leggings, which she rocked with a matching top. Her tattooed mid-riff took centre stage as she made her way home from the event while wearing a pair of heeled sandals and oversized sunglasses.

Now, her second-oldest child, Junior, has revealed what she’s really like behind closed doors. He said: “Well, to be honest, people don’t know her like we know her. She is doing great, she’s so loving, and we love her so much. We can’t wait to see her over Christmas. I am literally round her house all the time.”

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Junior, a budding musician, added: “People are always going to say what they want to say about both my parents, about my family, but at the end of the day they don’t live my life, do you know what I mean?” He added that people “don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors”, but he is in the happiest place with his family.

It comes after a source close to Katie told the Mirror that those around her have been very “honest” with her about their concerns. They told us of Katie’s family: “They do share their concerns with Kate and have open, honest conversations with her about how she’s feeling – including her mental health and her weight loss.

“Those conversations come from a place of love, care and support, and they remain private within the family. What people too often forget is just how much Kate has been through and how much she has already overcome. Her well-being is, and always will be, the priority, and it’s something she is actively working on.”

Responding to recent coverage from alleged friends of Kate who said that her weight loss was “absolutely devastating” and was extremely severe, our source added: “It was quite frankly completely unnecessary.

“It was cruel, hurtful and deeply insensitive, and it reduced a very real, very personal journey into a sensationalised narrative. There was no consideration for the impact those words might have, not just on Kate, but on her family too.”

In the past, Katie has been extremely open about the pain she has endured over the years, including her mental health, post-traumatic stress disorder, body dysmorphia and depression.

Speaking previously, the star said: “When I was in the Priory, my therapist said: ‘Kate, we’ve never known anyone to have so many traumatic events happen to them.’ And I’m still here, coping.”

She has also been diagnosed with C-PTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder), which she opened up about in her Channel 4 documentary, Katie Price: Trauma and Me. But while the star has faced several hurdles in her life, she has since found herself coming out on top and regularly engages with therapy to help process her thoughts.
