Katie Price and ex-husband Peter Andre have vowed to never publicly speak about each other again as they unite for their kids and issue a shock statement 17 years after split

Junior Andre has shared a sweet reaction to the news his parents Katie Price and Peter Andre have finally called a truce 17 years after their divorce and bitter split.

In a rare and unexpected move, Katie, 47 – who got married for the fourth time last month in a surprise wedding to new man Lee Andrews – and ex Pete, 52, issued a joint statement on Friday vowing never to speak about each other in interviews again following years of public rows.

Closing the door on their toxic past, the former couple – who met on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 and were married for four years before divorcing in 2009 – appear to have drawn up a new legal contract preventing either from badmouthing the other going forward.

Taking to Instagram, they both posted: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.”

The post continued: “We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally, confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability.” It continued: “We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”

Sharing the post to his own Instagram stories, their eldest son Junior, 20, shared four red heart emojis in response, showing his approval of the move by his once-warring mum and dad. While little sister Princess hasn’t publicly responded yet, the 18-year-old did share a somewhat cryptic post at the start of the year suggesting things had been ‘tough’ recently.

She told her almost one million followers: “Wow… what a year. It’s been full of highs and lows, emotional moments, and a lot of growth. I’ve learned so much about myself and I’m genuinely proud of what I’ve achieved. I’m beyond grateful for every experience, every lesson, and every person who has supported me along the way.”

She then added: “To anyone who might feel like this year has been tough, you’ve made it through and remember that there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings for me! I’m wishing you all the happiest year ahead.”

Princess is following in her mum’s famous footsteps after landing her own reality show, The Princess Diaries, on ITV. But who features in the series is said to have sparked rows behind the scenes – with Katie claiming she was banned from the show.

Last year, Katie hit out saying: “I’m not allowed and I’m not welcome. But what hurts my feelings, and it does upset me, is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you go to their football matches or gymnastics, you’re involved in everything they do.

“Knowing that what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path, trying to do the same as what I’ve done, which I absolutely love and adore of Princess. But I have not been allowed to go on any photo shoot, no signings or Superdrug openings, or anything like that.”

Speaking on her The Katie Price podcast, her mum made a dig at her former management team and said: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”

No doubt Princess will be pleased abut her parent’s truce too as the teenager is currently filming season two and three of the show. It was previously reported that Peter and his wife Emily won’t be appearing this time around, like they did in the first series. They are said to have pulled out as they didn’t want the row between her parents to ‘overshadow’ Princess’ big moment. But who knows if Katie and Peter’s truce will change things going forward?
