Katie Price breaks silence on Lee Andrews ‘lies’ – ‘I’m still getting to know him’

Katie Price has insisted that she is simply “getting to know” her new husband before anyone else. The former glamour model, 48, shocked fans when she tied the knot with Dubai businessman Lee Andrews, 41, just days after she met him in January, and he has since been accused of being a conman.

He was thought to have had obtained a PhD from Cambridge University but the claims were later thwarted, and in recent days, a voice note emerged in which Lee appeared to be begging for cash shortly before he staged the lavish proposal, but Katie has since said she has seen proof that he is a millionaire.

In her first television interview since, Katie spoke out on the bombshell news, as she joined Ed Balls and Susanna Reid on Monday’s edition of Good Morning Britain, and explained why her five children won’t be meeting their new stepfather just yet.

She said: “With Lee, it’s different and that’s why it works. Number one, he lives in Dubai. I want to have time for me, he lives in Dubai, when I’ve got the kids, I’ve got the kids, I can do my work. He hasn’t met the family, hasn’t met the kids, but they’ve been on FaceTime. They’ve all met him on FaceTime. But it’s never enough. I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet because I want to get to know him myself. It just felt right, so why not get married?

The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star insisted that she has seen everything she needs to when it comes to her new man and finds all the speculation so “disrespectful” because he has not been in the public eye before now, as she insisted that it is not true that his PhD was from Cambridge, and claimed that it came from Spain instead.

She said: “Because it’s me, and the way I do things, I did want to keep it private because he’s not a famous person but he’s getting so much flak from speculation, conman, scam man, Jesus! I’ve seen what I want to see, people shouldn’t underestimate me, I just want people to be happy for me.

“He hasn’t got a PhD from Cambridge. It’s one in Spain. That’s for him to say why he’s got a PhD but it’s not from Cambridge, I don’t know where that came from, he’s not got a PhD in Cambridge at all.

“I’ve seen everything I need to see. On his, oh my God, is it a diplomatic passport, it’s Dr Lee Andrews. On his normal one, it’s Wesley Lee Andrews.

“It doesn’t bother me but I find it so disrespectful that I’ve chosen a man and there’s all this hearsay. I’ve had it all the time and it’s hard to rectify, I know what I know about Lee.

“People could never fathom the stuff that he does do. I’ve seen everything. I want to get to know him. No one will ever understand me or the way I do things. Let people give us a chance. I think the shock is that I married him so fast.”

Katie, who was initially married to Peter Andre and has Junior, 20, as well as 18-year-old Princess with him, also spoke out about her recent weight loss, and insisted she has not been on any sort of medication but did recently consult a doctor over the issue.

She said: “I have lost weight, I look too skinny, I look gaunt, so I’ve been to the doctors. I’ve done all the blood tests and the poo one. Everyone says I’m on Ozempic, I am lacking in iron and I’m going through pre-menopause as well. I’m healthy so, no one worry abotu me and I hope everyone else is happy for me.”
