Katie Price’s gaunt figure has sparked fears for her health and GMB host Susanna Reid tackled her head-on about it during an eye-opening chat on the morning show
Katie Price‘s dramatic weight loss in recent months has sparked concern among fans and reportedly family and friends, too – but she has insisted there’s nothing to worry about.
Appearing on Monday’s Good Morning Britain, host Susanna Reid after diving straight in to ask Katie about her controversial new husband Lee Andrews, told the former glamour model, 47, that she was ‘concerned for her weight’.
But then Katie’s weight entered the conversations, following fans’ fears that the star is unwell – and her own admission that she was seeking ‘medical help’ after shockingly gaunt photos emerged of her.

Susanna said candidly: ‘Katie, can I ask, because I am concerned about your weight. You are very, very, very, skinny.’, to which Katie replied: ‘Yes, and I am glad you asked this!’
The 59-year-old presenter pressed on asking, “Now, people do say, is it because you are overdoing the weight loss medication or are you a healthy weight? Have you got that established?’
Katie replied that she was aware of people’s concerns, explaining: “People that follow me online will know I have lost weight. I recognise I have lost weight. I look too skinny, I look gaunt. So I have been to the doctors, to see why am I losing, I have done all the blood tests, I have even done the poo one, as well, to find out.”
Prompting Susanna to ask if the doctor had said she was ‘okay’, Katie continued, “I said to them, everyone said I am on Ozempic, they said, well we can tell in your bloods you’re not.
‘I am lacking in iron, they are now checking the other bit. And I am going through premenopause at the moment as well. I am healthy, so nobody worry about me.’ Confirming Katie’s comments, Susanna said, ‘You are healthy, and you are happy.’, Katie replying, ‘Yes, very happy.”
Katie’s shrinking figure, however, seems to tell another story. Back in January, it led to fans online begging her to get some help – after snaps emerged of her looking extremely thin as she accompanied her reality TV star daughter, Princess Andre, 18, on a shopping trip.
Responding to people’s worries, Katie revealed on The Katie Price Show as she discussed the topic with her sister Sophie that she was going to the doctors about her weight loss.
Of the shocking photos, she said, “‘I know I look gaunt, I look like I’m ill – hence why I’m going to the doctors tomorrow.’
‘I don’t know how many times I have to say to people, ‘Yes I know I’ve lost weight,’ and there’s obviously a reason, I said it to the doctor. We all know that we’re trying to sort it all out and as soon as I know then I’ll let everyone know.”
Of course, Kate also spilled on her headline-grabbing marriage to Dubai-based Lee Andrews following their whirlwind romance, admitting that she felt her critics of their union – tying the knot in January – were being ‘disrespectful’.
Despite reports that her family are deeply concerned about her marriage and didn’t even know who Lee was, Katie declared that she was ‘happy’ and that she can ‘make her own decisions’.
When Susanna shared that she’d be ‘concerned’ if she was a friend of hers, knowing she had married a man she’d only known for a matter of days, Katie fired back, “Do you ever really know anyone? If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be? Sometimes I don’t think you can ever know who anyone is…
“For me, I’ve gone through so much, so many different relationships, and I normally went from one to the other… before I’ve always been in toxic, coercive, controlling, mental abuse, physical abuse relationships.
“Now, I now know the signs of red flags and all of this, I am older, I can make my own decisions and there’s nothing to say that you have to wait for anything.
‘It’s hard for anyone to understand. It just feels so right, I’ve only been in love twice before that, with Dane Bowers and Peter [Andre]. With Lee, it’s so different to every other relationship, and it works for me.”
