Katie Price’s podcast is taking a ‘pause’ – with Katie and sister Sophie issuing a statement to announce they are taking their show off air, and it appears to take aim at Katie’s husband Lee Andrews.
The glamour model, 47, shocked fans a couple of weeks ago when she spontaneously announced her engagement to a mystery man. It was soon revealed her new lover was Lee Andrews and the pair tied the knot within days of their engagement.
Katie’s quickie wedding has garnered huge media attention in recent weeks. And fans have been waiting with baited breath to hear from Katie herself about her whirlwind wedding – which is said to have upset her family.

Last week, as listeners waited for Katie and Sophie’s podcast to be released Sophie announced they would not be releasing an episode that week – but promised a return the following week with an update on “what’s been going on”. However, there has now been a big change to that promise as The Katie Price Show issued a statement early this morning to announce its ‘pause’.
In a statement which was re-shared by both Katie and Sophie, 36, the podcast announced: “We’re pressing pause on The Katie Price Show podcast for now.” It continued: “With so much current media attention, it doesn’t feel right to release an episode at this time. The podcast has always observed the headlines, not added to them.
“Thank you for your continued support and understanding,” the statement ended. However, one line in the statement appears to take aim at Katie’s husband Lee and his recent antics since their quickie nuptials. Yesterday, Lee added fuel to the rumours that he and Katie were planning to start a family together with a cryptic social media post – with him later sharing a screenshot of an online headline which reported on the rumours.
Since he was announced at Katie’s new husband, Lee has been under much scrutiny as former girlfriend’s of Lee’s have come forward, as one revealed they had an ‘identical’ proposal to Katie just a few months ago. Meanwhile, the Mirror also revealed Lee had spent a stint in a Dubai prison and was seen ‘begging’ inmates for cash – despite his self-proclaimed billionaire status.
Katie’s sister Sophie, who was amongst the star’s family who were in the dark about the wedding before it took place, has been vocal in her disapproval following the latest move from Katie. Over the weekend, Katie’s younger sister Sophie has made her feelings clear on the union in an Instagram post. Sophie posted a video of rolling British fields with the caption: “This and never stepping foot in Dubai.” Meanwhile, in the caption she bluntly wrote: “Countryside over Dubai. Always.” The unusually outspoken post from Sophie was even backed by her husband who left an eyes emoji in the comments.
It comes after rumours Katie is risking a massive fallout with her family over the nuptials. As a source claimed to the Metro: “Katie’s family have been left in the dark about the marriage and can’t understand how it’s unfolded so quickly. She missed a podcast episode with her sister last week and fans are rallying around Sophie hoping the relationship is just a stunt.
“Katie risks falling out with her family massively over the marriage – especially with what has been brought to light about Lee’s past relationships.”
