Katie Price unceremoniously ditched Married At First Sight star JJ Slater at the start of the year – and then stunned family, friends and close ones when she ‘married’ Dubai based businessman Lee Andrews days later
Katie Price’s ex-boyfriend, JJ Slater, has shared a cryptic post about “recovery” following their explosive split. The notorious glamour model ditched the reality star at the start of the year – and became married to a businessman named Lee Andrews almost immediately after.
Fans of the reality star will be well aware of the past few weeks of drama which saw 47-year-old mum-of-five Katie’s romance with Married At First Sight star JJ, 33, collapse after less than two years. Eyebrows were raised when the OnlyFans star subsequently married Lee, 43 – who is based in Dubai.
In the weeks since Katie and Lee swapped vows and plastered social media with images from their apparent wedding, the duo have been kept largely apart as she has been focused on family life in the UK with her children, while he has been out in the Middles East. This weekend, however, Katie and Lee were reunited – and fans noticed that JJ was continuing with life on his own.

On social media, the E4 reality star drew attention as he shared a snap of himself relaxing in a hot tub in Miami, Florida. The reality star, sporting bright orange shorts, added a simple caption to the post that stated: “Recovery”.
Fans are questioning if this could be some kind of cryptic message regarding his romantic life as he has been mending his broken heart since Katie savagely dumped him. Last month, the MAFS star opened up about the abrupt end of his relationship.
He told The Sun: “We’re just sitting on the sofa watching TV. Everything seemed good, to be honest, and then it was probably three or four days into the new year that the conversation kind of just happened where all of a sudden Kate said that she doesn’t love me or is not in love with me anymore.”
He added: “Obviously when someone says that to you you have no choice but to pack up and leave, and that’s exactly what I did.”
The brutal end to the relationship was an extra blow to the reality star – as he had already imagined a happy future with Katie. He revealed: “In my head I’m 33. I wouldn’t be in a relationship at this age with someone if I didn’t see the end goal being married and kids.
“So that was definitely something in my head that I wanted. But I guess it was what happens in a relationship in life: finding the right time to talk about things when there’s always so much going on.”
There has been confused messaging over Katie’s apparent marriage to Lee – with the pair seemingly tying-the-knot in Dubai last month. While both Katie and Lee have flooded social media with loved up snaps and celebratory images, it has been suggested that their nuptials in the Middle Eastern country are not binding.
And it has also been reported that the family of the former Page 3 icon were blindsided by the news. Earlier in the week, celebrant Darryl Rees opened up about the wedding – and gave his own view and insight into the unexpected ceremony which had been planned at the last minute, and then postponed by one day as the couple struggled to get their plans together.
Opening up about the big day, which he presided over, he said: “When I first met them, they were giggling, hugging each other, holding each other’s hand, laughing.”
He then asked Katie and Lee to share some special details about their relationship ahead of the 25-minute service, so he could tailor their ceremony. The new couple spoke about ‘manifesting this day and moment’ with matching 111 tattoos. Daryl told The Sun: “Because time was against us. I was like, ‘when you get a chance, can you send me a voice note with all the details?’
“He [Lee] didn’t send me a voice note until like 12 o’clock that night. He said they were doing something. So then I got a voice note with the manifestation part, the 1111 tattoos they mentioned and then the names and then that. So I just personalised that bit.”
The celebrant and DJ claimed the pair were “very certain” about getting married and were even reportedly grabbing random guests at the hotel to join them. Admitting they couldn’t keep their hands off each other, Darryl revealed the pair’s ceremony was witnessed by three hotel staff and two hotel guests he thinks they met by the pool during the day.
