JJ Slater has shared a moving post about “going to hell and back” after Katie Price admitted she wasn’t in love with him. The reality star, 32, had a relationship with ex-glamour model Katie, 47, but they split just weeks before she tied the knot with Lee Andrews, a man she had known for a week.
Shortly after Katie admitted to The Sun that she had only ever been “in love” with her first husband Peter Andre, with whom she has Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, Dane Bowers and now Lee, JJ took to social media where he spoke about how he “kept showing up” even when times got tough.
He added: “Some days weren’t easy, but I kept showing up. Smiled in public… fought battles in private. When nothing made sense, I just prayed and kept it moving. The same pressure that tried to break me built me. Now I stand on the other side grateful, humbled, and thankful to God for every lesson!”

JJ was supported by a number of fans in the comments section of the post, as one wrote: “You are back to the gorgeous you… don’t ever let any woman rule your world. The past is now far behind and all the best for your best future yet!”
Another said: “You look so much better, so much happier and relaxed it’s great to see. Everything happens for a reason,” and a third said: “Stay humble. You are a beautiful soul.”
It all comes after Katie, who is currently onto her fifth marriage, hit back at claims that her latest husband is a “conman” after various exes came out of the woodwork claiming he had proposed to them in the same way. She said: “I’m not stupid. I’ve learned now that I don’t need a man. I always used to need a man in my life whereas now I don’t need a man, I just want one.
“So yes, I can reassure everyone at home that I haven’t gone for a con man. I haven’t gone for a scammer. There was no love bombing.” Buy fitness guru, Alana Percival, claims the businessman proposed to her in exactly the same way as he did with Katie just four months earlier.
Taking to social media, posing on a beach, Alana wrote: “Catching flights not fiancés – lucky escape. Somebody with your ex right now thinking they found The One,” while tagging Katie in the post. Alana added: “More to come today’s news is just a warm up.”
“You guys wanted to know what he is all about? Well let me start to tell you.” She then concluded with the hashtag ‘Run for the hills’. Alana then followed up with an Instagram post as she slammed Lee for his behaviour during their brief relationship.

For JJ, who met Katie shortly after he found fame on E4’s Married At First Sight, he admitted that he had been thinking about a lot of things regarding his relationship with Katie and claimed that they had only been split up for a matter of days before she moved on and got married.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday, JJ said: “They wanted to let me know that they were in the dark as well.” He also claimed they had apologised to him over Katie’s behaviour.
Opening up further about Katie and Lee’s romance, JJ said he suspected the pair may have been seeing each other while he was still in a relationship with her. This is a claim that goes against what Katie has previously said after she claimed it was “marriage at first sight”.
But JJ told the outlet: “When you break up ten days ago and then they’re engaged, there’s a lot of things that go through your head. I don’t think there’s many people that have been in that situation. Kate was in Dubai last summer and she extended her stay there a couple of times.”
