It was supposed to be a chance for Katie Price to show off a more serious side after years of controversy – but according to reports, filming for her latest three-part documentary, set to air in the spring on Sky, has been thrown ‘up in the air’ amid her quickie wedding to Lee Andrews.
Sources say TV bosses at Louis Theroux’s TV production company Mindhouse are having to rethink their plans going forward because the footage they’ve shot so far – which took place whilst Katie was still dating Married At First Sight star JJ Slater – feels “daft” and “out of date”.

A source told The Sun: “A lot of it was filmed while she was still with JJ and she talked on camera about how much more settled she was with him.That all sounds a bit daft in light of what’s transpired recently.”
“She’s also meant to still be filming some new footage, but she’s flown off to Dubai again to be with Lee so it’s all very up in the air. It will take a lot of re-editing and they need to shoot some new footage if it will make it on the air for the planned April airdate,” added the insider.
Following her shock wedding ceremony in Dubai last month, Katie flew back to the Middle East to be reunited with her new husband, Dubai businessman Lee. The couple were seen “getting as intimate as you can in public”, with the former glamour model spotted crawling over her husband.
Katie was hard to miss in a fluorescent yellow thong bikini, which showed off the results of her recent £2000 bum lift. The couple are staying at the lavish One&Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai.
“Katie’s ridiculous swimming costume aside, she and Lee actually looked happy together,” an onlooker told Mail Online . “There was lots of hand holding and smiles, and when they were on their sunbeds they appeared to be getting about as intimate as you can in public in Dubai. They looked like other honeymooners – bar that swimsuit – and seemed happy and loving life.”
Lee initially said he was planning to join Katie in the UK following their quickie ceremony – but appeared to change his mind. Katie joined her new spouse a fortnight after their nuptials, which took place in the nearby One&Only The Palm hotel. Katie wore a £12 white dress from Shein for the occasion.
The Royal Mirage, where they are currently staying, is described as ‘an exceptional one-off resort in Dubai, which blends timeless Arabian architecture with modern energy’. It also boasts a huge private beach, 65 acres of landscaped gardens and a ‘ world class’ spa for Katie and Lee to relax in.
A source who has worked with Katie before believes the hotel say could well have been “a freebie” due to the star’s huge social media following. Her pal Kerry Katona joined her for a couple of days her new man Paulo Margaglione.
Meanwhile, Katie has reportedly used her time abroad to scope out a new home – with claims she’s even put down a deposit and signed a contract. Talking to The Sun, the source claimed that she had “put money down” and that “the contract is signed”. They added: “She is really excited and thinks she is going to have her happy ending with Lee.
But those close to Katie fear this could be the start of a potential scam. She was only supposed to be in Dubai for two days, but she’s still not returned home.” They continued to say that Katie’s move to buy a house is “making her closest friends and family anxious”.
