Katie Price has sparked fears among her fans, but her family are reportedly extremely concerned over her welfare, especially after her shock wedding – including her mum
She may look like she’s in a honeymoon bubble, but Katie Price’s family are seriously concerned.
The former glamour model married husband Lee Andrews in a quick-fire Dubai wedding last month, however her friends and family are struggling to share her joy and join in with the celebrations, including her terminally ill mum Amy Price.
The OnlyFans star, 47, left her family reeling when she announced she’d got hitched for the fourth time to the businessman, 43 – who she’d only known for a week. Her shocked mum and sisteronly found out after she announced the news on social media.
News of the nuptials left Katie’s sister, Sophie, in bits after she posted an emotional message about ‘pain’ and ‘coming to your senses’ amid the model’s whirlwind marriage. Sophie, who Katie used to do her weekly podcast with, shared: “So there’s two major things I say to families, one is you have a decision to make. There’s two rational choices and one irrational one. The rational choice is – number one, what you doing causes me so much pain and so much stress, I can’t be with it.”

A source told the Metro: “Katie’s family have been left in the dark about the marriage and can’t understand how it’s unfolded so quickly. She missed a podcast episode with her sister last week and fans are rallying around Sophie hoping the relationship is just a stunt.
Sophie also posted a video of rolling British fields with the caption: “This and never stepping foot in Dubai.” Meanwhile, in the caption she bluntly wrote: “Countryside over Dubai. Always.” The unusually outspoken post from Sophie was even backed by her husband who left an eyes emoji in the comments. SAnd she also ‘liked” a post by Katie’s ex JJ Slater on Instagram, where he told fans he was “so back.”
Lee, 43, added fuel to the fire after sparking pregnancy rumours by sharing an Instagram story showing a man kissing a pregnant woman’s belly accompanied by a caption that hinted at baby hopes. However, a spokesperson for Katie has since confirmed that she is not pregnant.
A source told The Mirror: “Everything Katie is doing is just putting more of a distance between herself and her family. She won’t be happy seeing that her sister has liked her ex’s post – no matter how nice he is, he’s still an ex. She’ll think it’s disloyal but underneath, she knows she’s treated JJ terribly and that he’s a nice guy.”
Katie split up with MAFS star JJ weeks prior to her wedding to Lee, with the pair together for two years before their sudden split around Christmas 2025. A source told The Mirror: “Katie’s family are very much ‘Team JJ’. Ever since the break up, they’ve been in touch with him and supporting him.
“They think the way he’s been treated throughout this has been awful. They are really disappointed. He was so supportive of Katie and one of the nicest guys she’d been out with. That’s why Sophie liked his post.”
Fans have also been pleading with Katie to be careful after questions were raised about her new husband. The Mirror exclusively revealed that months before Lee popped the question to Katie, he had been banged up in a Dubai prison and was begging for cash, despite his self-proclaimed billionaire status.
Currently in Dubai, the former glamour model is said to be buying a property there and is thought to have already put down a deposit. But despite splashing the cash on a new home, a source tells the Mirror that she’s had no choice but to move due to her financial issues.
At the peak of her career, Katie, 47, was rumoured to worth an estimated £45 million, thanks to brand endorsements, book deals and countless realty TV shows. Since then, she has been declared bankrupt twice, including in 2024 after she racked up a tax bill of over £760,000. She is making her money again thanks to documentaries, a deal with picture agency Backgrid and by selling content on OnlyFans.
Katie was ordered to use 40% of her OnlyFans income to pay off the her debts, in a deal that is set to last until February next year. Other than her debts, her bank account has reportedly shrunk due to a series of expensive cosmetic surgeries. The Daily Mail claimed the star had spent £84,000 on changing the size of her breasts alone.
A source told The Mirror that these financial issues have Katie running to Dubai. “Katie owes a lot of money here, she feels the press always give her a bad time.”
They claimed that Katie’s money struggles means she cannot afford to keep living in the UK on one income so is moving in with her new husband Lee Andrews who is based in Dubai,
The source says, “Katie doesn’t have the money to keep renting a place in the UK. She’ll be with Lee in Dubai and try and have a based at a friend’s place in the UK. She won’t have a house here. If she moves, she moves. Lee’s business is in Dubai. She’s always liked Dubai.”
The source adds, “Katie’s guy knows Dubai like the back of his hand. Both of them want a new start, especially Katie. She also doesn’t have much of a choice – if she wants to properly make a future with Lee, she’s going to have to make that choice.”
It is not yet known how this will impact Katie’s relationships with her children, Junior, 20, and Princess Andre, 18, as they are grown up and living their own lives. However, some have wondered what this means for her eldest child, Harvey.
The 23-year-old has a complex combination of learning difficulties and disabilities that require a lot of care. These include septo-optic dysplasia, which affects, hormone levels and eyesight, Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic disorder that results in weak muscle tone, chronic hunger and behavioural issues, and autism. He is currently living in an independent living facility that provides 24 hour help where needed.
Our source explained that Katie would not be bringing Harvey to Dubai with her. “Katie is a great mum to Harvey, the last thing she’d ever do is abandon him. But she doesn’t want to upset his routine or living situation where he’s happy. So she plans to move to Dubai, leave him behind in the UK and then fly back and forth regularly to see him whenever he wants to be with his mum. If she wants this marriage to work, it’s the only way.”
Katie’s mum, meanwhile, is currently battling a terminal lung condition called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a progressive lung disease which she was diagnosed in 2017, and has said she is determined not to die before her daughter “gets her life together”.
Her concerns were first raised after Katie sparked concern with her dramatic weight loss that she has said is intentional after finishing IVF and suffering a broken foot. She later addressed “gaunt” photos, admitting she went “too far” and was seeking help.
For daughter Princess Andre‘s part, while she thinks her mum is “crazy”, she insists she’s “happy if she’s happy”. Despite this, the 18-year-old still hasn’t met her mother’s new beau almost a month after the intimate ceremony.
