In a piece of heartbreaking news, KGF 2 co-director, Kirtan Nadagouda, lost his four-year-old son on December 15, 2025. The name of Kirtan’s son was Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda, who lost his life in a tragic lift accident. According to a report by the Kannada Prabha, the son of the KGF franchise director, Kirtan, and his wife, Samriddhi Patel, had got trapped inside a lift.

The publication’s report stated that efforts were made to save Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife, Samriddhi Patel, and their son, Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda. However, all the efforts went in vain as the toddler could not be saved. Reportedly, close friends and family members revealed that the child was always cheerful and also lively. The unforeseen demise of Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda has shocked his parents beyond repair and has left a void inside their hearts.

According to a report by India Today, the lift accident took place rapidly, and for that reason, little Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda could not be saved. His father, Nadagouda, is best known for his work in pan-India movie, KGF: Chapter 2, and many more Kannada movies. Kirtan Nadagouda reportedly has been working on new projects, also with Prashanth Neel. Within minutes, Chiranjeevi lost his life, and the ordinary day of the family soon turned into the worst nightmare.

Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda reportedly got stuck in the elevator and people close to the family revealed that the tragedy which occured is beyond comprehension. Chiranjeevi was known to be a very enthusiastic and also a sweet child. Little did the family know that little Chiranjeevi would leave them soon. The accident took place in the speed of light and because of the short duration, the little child succumbed to his injuries and could not be saved.

Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda’s family is in tears as the little boy has left for the heavenly abode. KGF 2 co-director, Kirtan Nadagouda, has been at a loss for words as neither he nor his wife, Samriddhi, has released any official statement yet over the demise of their child. However, actor and politician, Pawan Kalyan, offered condolences to the bereaved family. He wrote about the young child’s demise after being stuck in a lift and commented:
“I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of four-and-a-half-year-old Sonarsh, who got stuck in a lift. I express my deepest condolences to Sri Kirtan and Smt. Samriddhi. I pray to the Almighty to give the couple the courage to overcome the grief of their son.”

The loss of Kirtan has been irreplaceable and also heartbreaking. Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda’s father, Kirtan, is a well-known film director in the South Indian film industry. The regional industry has been pouring condolences to the bereaved family. The loss that both the parents have faced cannot be expressed in words.
