The film is now in development and will once again be directed by Korean-Canadian filmmaker Maggie Kang and co-directed by Chris Appelhans. The official release date has not yet been announced, but according to reports, it is aiming for a 2029 release. The cast and crew also bagged major awards at the Golden Globes 2026.
