Jonathan Gannon isn’t seeing what Troy Aikman and Joe Buck did.
The Cardinals coach said Kyler Murray will remain the team’s starter, despite Jacoby Brissett’s impressive play over the past three games with the former Heisman winner injured.
Brissett led the Cardinals to a 27-17 road win over the Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” after two close losses to the front-running Colts and Packers.
Still, Gannon insisted that “nothing’s changed” with the Cardinals’ QB situation, according to ESPN.com.
When pressed for his reasoning, he said that’s “just how I feel.”
Murray suffered a foot sprain in Week 5 against the Titans and missed two games plus a bye week before the game against Dallas.
The 28-year-old returned to practice this week, and there was a chance he would have a role in the game as late as Monday afternoon — but he then was on Arizona’s inactive list.

Prior to the game, ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted that the situation is one to follow this offseason with Murray having two years left on his contract.
“It’s also interesting, but we are not there yet. It’s not full-blown interesting, but it could be interesting this offseason,” Schefter said on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
In the booth for ESPN, Buck and Aikman opined that Brissett should take over as the full-time starter for the 3-5 Cardinals.
“I don’t know how you take (Brissett) off the field,” Buck said, according to Cardinals beat writer Theo Mackie.

“I don’t know how they can. And I don’t know that they will,” Aikman responded.
Brissett doesn’t exactly shout future of the organization. though.
The 32-year-old is a career backup who has played for a different franchise in each of the past six seasons.

But he has impressed this season, completing 73 of 112 passes for 860 yards and six touchdowns with one interception.
Brissett was asked by ESPN after the game what he has done to keep the starting job.
“I just think it’s our team, it’s the offense,” Brissett said. “We’ve just done a good job of starting to grow together and just taking it one play at a time, one game at a time, one week at a time. I just couldn’t be more proud of those guys and I just stepped in the huddle at the end and told those guys they deserve this one.”
The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Cardinals, who take on the Seahawks on Sunday.
