Rapper, Lil Poppa passed away at the age of 25. The rapper whose real name was Janarious Mykel Wheeler, left his fandom heartbroken with the news of his passing. No official statement about the cause of his death was given, and his followers went on laying theories about what could have caused his demise. His death was confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Georgia to TMZ. And now, after hours of Lil Poppa’s passing, the real reason behind the same surface. As it was assumed by his followers, Lil Poppa died by suicide, after he met with a car accident. Here’s what happened!

The real reason for Lil Poppa’s sudden demise at the age of 25

Hapeville Chief of Police Bruce Hedley recently revealed to TMZ that Lil Poppa was in a single-car accident, which took place on Interstate 85 south of Hapeville. That’s when Lil Poppa called his manager, asking what he should do. As the car was still drivable, his manager advised him to meet him in the parking lot near the Hilton Hotel. Hapeville Chief of Police Bruce Hedley was present there, and she was talking to Lil Poppa’s manager through the rolled-down window.

As per Bruce Hedley, it’s not confirmed what they were discussing, but at a point in time, Lil Poppa took out his handgun, put it to his head, and pulled the trigger. No suicide note was found, which could confirm what could possibly be the reason for this drastic step that Lil Poppa took. Following this, he was rushed to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Was Lil Poppa struggling with the ghost of the past?

Lil Poppa faced pretty tough conditions in life, one of them being watching his two closest friends die. When he was only 18 years old, two of his close friends passed away, after they were shot in a road accident. Lil Poppa survived, but the demise of his two friends remained like a vivid memory stuck to his heart. He turned to art, and released the song, Purple Hearts, which was influenced by this incident.

As for Lil Poppa’s demise, it couldn’t be confirmed whether he was struggling with mental health issues or not, but his followers laid out this as a theory, which could have influenced his deteriorating mental health in recent times. Eerily so, Lil Poppa also died after the accident, but it was he who took the drastic step of ending his life. The reason which could have influenced Lil Poppa was not known and was not officially disclosed, except for the fact that no document or note was received.

Lil Poppa had struggled with sickle cell anaemia

Apart from mental health, Lil Poppa had struggled with a disease called sickle cell anaemia. For the unversed, it’s an inherited blood disorder, which is caused from genetic mutation. In this condition, blood cells become rigid and sticky, and the cells that carry oxygen assume a crescent shape. It causes a whole lot of pain, and this condition leads cells to die early, causing infection, organ failure, and clogging of small blood vessels. It’s a lifelong condition, and Lil Poppa was suffering from this. He also talked about this condition in his documentary, Blessed, I Guess. As the reason for his death was previously not disclosed, people were assuming that this might have been in the background that caused the demise of the rapper at the mere age of 25.
