As Lily Allen lays bare details of her marriage to David Harbour with her ‘revenge album’ West End Girl, the actor has spoken out the ‘mistakes’ he’s made as he turns 50
Lily Allen’s ex David Harbour has broken his silence to address his “regrets” in life in a new interview that has been published in the wake of her cheating allegations. All eyes have been on Lily Allen following the release of her new album, West End Girl, which is inspired by their marriage.
Lily laid their relationship bare as she accused him of having an affair for three years of their romance with poignant tracks Tennis and Madeline appearing to detail with brutal honesty the cause for the end of their marriage. The album is her first in seven years and was recorded in just 10 days in the wake of her devastating split from the star last December.

Speaking to Esquire Spain for the November edition, in an interview ahead of the album’s release, David addressed whether there’s anything he would change in his life. He said: “That’s such a hard question – the question of regret, or something. I would change either everything or nothing.
“You either accept your path completely and realise that even the pain and the slip-ups and the mistakes are all part of the journey, and that there’s truth and growth, wisdom and deeper empathy and connection in all that.
“It’s kind of like a house of cards, the minute you try to change one thing you kind of have to change it all.” He added that if he were to change anything he’d change “everything” and “just make my life happy and silly” but also said that would mean he “wasn’t an artist anymore”.
Lily used Halloween as an opportunity to take a cheeky dig at her ex-husband David as she dressed up as his alleged mistress “Madeline”.
The first single from the album, aptly named ‘Madeline’, seems to reference David’s alleged mistress with the lyrics “and who’s Madeline?”.
On the same day the single was released, Lily made an appearance at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, dressed as the beloved children’s book character, Madeline, in what appears to be a thinly veiled jab at her ex’s alleged affair, according to reports.
Lily completed her costume with an orange bob wig, white socks, black shoes and a red Birkin handbag. Despite accusing the Stranger Things actor of being unfaithful, Lily maintains that her new song is a blend of personal experiences and fiction.
However, fans have been eager to uncover the story behind the anthem, with one interviewer boldly asking Lily, “Who the f*** is Madeline?”.
Lily’s Halloween costume was among the standout celebrity outfits this year, with A-listers pulling out all the stops for the red carpet. This comes after Lily has been accused of using her bitter divorce from David to propel her latest album West End Girl, as part of a “strategic PR move”.
