Lorna Luxe has told fans she can no longer be away from her husband John, who is ‘extremely unwell’ after being diagnosed with terminal cancer

Influencer Lorna Luxe has shared a sad health update about her husband. The 43-year-old told fans that her husband, John Andrews, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is “extremely unwell”.

Lorna, who was due to attend a charity event this weekend to raise money for the cancer charity, Maggie’s, told fans she was “so sorry” to have to withdraw, explaining that she “can’t be away” from John’s side.

John, 21 years Lorna’s senior, was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer in April 2023. The sad news comes just weeks after Lorna told her 1.6 million followers that John’s cancer had spread and treatment was not an option anymore.

Earlier this week, Lorna shared on social media that the fundraiser event taking place tomorrow had to be postponed so she could focus on being with John. She said: “Postponed. Important information about our upcoming event.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share that we must unfortunately postpone our upcoming Charity Sale at The Alan Hotel in Manchester this Saturday, 7th February.” Lorna went on to add: “John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn’t the right time for me to be away from his side. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I know it’s the right thing to do.

“I am so sorry for any disappointment caused. New event details will be shared as soon as possible, and all current tickets will remain valid for the new date. All ticket sales will still be donated to Maggie’s Cancer Care and The Meath Epilepsy Charity.

“If you can no longer attend and would like a refund, please email customercare@laspace.co.uk and our team will help you as quickly as possible. Our community has truly kept us going. I am so incredibly grateful for your kindness and support while I navigate this difficult time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

She added over the post: “I am so sorry.” Her brand, LA-Space, was due to host the event to raise money for both Maggie’s and The Meath Epilepsy Charity. Last month, Lorna shared her heartbreak after coming to terms with being a widow in her 40s after John’s health battle.

John went into remission in November 2023, before his cancer returned in May 2024, having spread to his brain. Before Christmas, he was taken to the hospital suffering from organ failure due to a complication with his chemotherapy, as well as falling ill with sepsis.

Lorna was told to “prepare for the worst”, but had a gut feeling that her husband would pull through and be home in time for the festive season. Speaking to Fabulous Magazine, she said: “It’s been quite scary because we don’t know how long we’ve got… We don’t know how long John is going to feel up for doing things so we’re running at a million miles an hour at the minute. We know we’re on a timeline.”

She went on to add that after John’s hospital admission, she had to get “their ducks in a row” in regards to their financial plans. However, one thing they are refusing to do is to discuss any funeral arrangements.
