Louis Tomlinson has hit out at Logan Paul, saying he ‘forever despises’ the YouTuber after he interviewed his late One Direction bandmate Liam Payne in a vulnerable state in 2022

Singer Louis Tomlinson didn’t hold back when discussing Logan Paul in a recent interview – admitting he will “always hate” the controversial YouTuber.

Logan came under fire in 2022 when he interviewed Louis’ bandmate Liam Payne, who appeared vulnerable throughout the chat. During his time on the podcast ‘Impaulsive’, Liam discussed intimate details about the birth of his son and made shocking remarks about his one Direction bandmates.

Liam, who died last year at the age of 31, appeared to be drinking whiskey throughout the recording. Many questioned the ethics of Logan’s interview at the time.

Speaking this week, one year after Liam tragically fell to his death in Argentina, Louis took aim at Logan for the controversial interview. “I f***ing forever despise [Logan Paul], horrible, horrible little f***er,” he declared.

“I think that’s also the problem with some of this new ‘media’. ‘I would like to think most journalists… some journalists have a duty of care,” Louis added to The Independent.

Liam’s appearance on Logan’s podcast sparked outrage amongst One Direction fans in 2022, thanks to the late dad-of-one making comments about Zayn Malik, claiming he pushed one of his former bandmates against a wall and revealing that Simon Cowell created One Direction to work around him.

Many mocked Liam’s claim about the boy band’s origins, but Louis has now confirmed it to be true. “It was, definitely. It was definitely a role that was assigned to him. That is the truth,” he shares in his latest interview. Louis also went on to reveal the clips of Liam on Logan’s show in 2022 are still “hard for me to watch back”.

Speaking earlier this month, Louis revealed Niall Horan informed him about the death of Liam, saying “we all looked up to him”. Liam died at the age of 31 in October last year after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

Speaking to host Steven Bartlett on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, Louis said he was in Los Angeles when he first heard of Liam’s death. “In the car, in LA. I found out through Niall,” he said, telling Steven the news evoked a similar reaction to when his sister Felicite died of an accidental drug overdose in 2019.

“I had the same feeling that I had with Felicite, and I think anyone has this when they’re around someone who’s struggling; my 150 per cent wasn’t nearly enough.

“And that’s when it’s my own arrogance thinking that I could have helped really, because it was so much deeper than what I could have done for him. He was definitely struggling at that time in his life.”

Louis also revealed that Liam had been campaigning for a One Direction reunion, but he said it would not feel “right”. “Never say never… but I’m just not sure it would be right to (Payne),” Louis said.

“Say for the sake of argument, 25 years’ time, it’s like a f****** Oasis thing, they offer us an arm and a leg, and they’re like, ‘Come back and do this many shows’, I don’t know. (Payne’s death) just completely put a pin in all of that. And the irony is, there was no one campaigning for One Direction to get back more than Liam. I would say I came in a close second.”
