Former Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing has gone to extreme lengths this Valentine’s Day, surprising his wife Sophie Habboo with the ultimate gift – a tattoo. The former Made In Chelsea star is captured in a heartfelt video receiving his new tattoo, before unveiling the surprise to his unsuspecting missus. Caught off guard and in full mum mode, cradling their newborn, Sophie watches as her entrepreneur husband reveals his priceless gift.
As he endures the painful process, he declares: “Happy Valentine’s Day, honey. I love you,” chuckling as he reclines in the chair for the momentous event. Bare-chested and donning a green candy cap, the businessman seems thrilled about his big reveal.

He captioned the video: “Surprising my wife with her Valentine’s Day present.” The fresh ink simply reads ‘Sophie’ and ‘Ziggy’. Set against a romantic soundtrack, he sneaks up on the pair whilst she’s engrossed in her phone on the sofa. Whispering so as not to wake their sleeping baby in her arms, he asks: “Are you ready for your Valentine’s present?”.
A bewildered Sophie looks stunned as he presents his newly inked arm. “Wait, when did you get that?” she queries. “Today,” he discloses. “Is it real?” she probes. “Yes,” he responds, smirking.
Fans swooned over the gesture, commenting ‘so sweet’, ‘her facial expression is the best’ and ‘priceless reaction’. The 37 year old and Sophie, 31, welcomed their first child, son Ziggy, in early December and have been keeping fans abreast of their journey into parenthood.
Just a few days ago, the pair enjoyed their first night out publicly together since the birth of their son. They attended the EE BAFTA and Glamour Rising Star Party at La Mome in London on Wednesday night.
Sophie took to Instagram to mark the occasion by sharing an array of photos of herself and Jamie as they got ready to head out. She captioned the post: “Mum and Dad’s big night out. EE BAFTAs Rising Star Party”.
Sophie stunned in a black off-the-shoulder mini dress, styled with sheer tights and stilettos as she wore her long blonde locks in a loose blown-out style with a soft glam look.
Jamie recently faced backlash amongst some of his followers, who labelled the effusive message as “insensitive”. The uproar began when Jamie uploaded a video on Instagram of ‘Superwoman’ Sophie preparing for their first Christmas with Ziggy.
Jamie captured her on camera and captioned the clip: “POV: your wife is 3 weeks postpartum and still creates a magical Christmas.”
This came after the couple splurged on a £14k per week retreat complete with round-the-clock baby care, massages and Michelin-starred chefs. The duo initially became friends whilst filming for the E4 reality show before things turned romantic and they started dating.
They moved in together in 2020 and tied the knot in a legal ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall in April 2023 – followed by a grand wedding celebration in Marbella, Spain with around 200 guests.
