Madhuri Dixit Nene’s House of Masaba half-and-half sari pairs the palest mint with a pop of hot pink

Madhuri Dixit Nene stepped out in a half-and-half sari from House of Masaba, styled by Sukriti Grover. The house has built a language around pop-culture prints on Indian silhouettes, and this sari is that same instinct. The top half is pale mint chiffon edged in a green pinstripe border, unembellished enough that the bottom half earns its moment.

The pleats open into a hot pink skirt, heavier in fabric and louder in colour, printed with oversized gold camera motifs that gather and shift as she moves, with smaller sunleaf elements scattered across the field. The blouse is sleeveless with a deep neckline, kept plain but for a beaded dori at the back.

Gold pieces from PNG Jewellers, a long haar layered over a shorter necklace, chandbali earrings and stacked bangles, add enough weight that the print reads as occasion wear. Hair by Sheetal F Khan is pulled into a loose bun and Billy Manik works the makeup in warm pinks.

“Go lighter on the jewellery and let the sari do the talking. A pair of pearl drop studs or pear-shaped emeralds should add the right amount of bling. Keep the neck bare. Swap the slip-on wedges for a pair of juttis,” says Manglien Gangte, Vogue India’s fashion associate.
