Mahhi Vij Hospitalised Due To High Fever, Amid Divorce Buzz With Husband, Jay Bhanushali

Mahhi Vij, the TV actress, has hogged the limelight for all things personal. For the unversed, recently Mahhi Vij made headlines due to her alleged separation from her husband, Jay Bhanushali. There were also rumours around Mahhi charging a whopping alimony from Jay. Later, a close friend of Mahhi dismissed the rumours. The Nach Baliye 5 fame too dismissed the claims through a video. Now, amid this, the actress became ill and is hospitalised.

Mahhi Vij’s publicist reveals the actress has been hospitalised

According to a report by Viral Bhayani, Mahhi is currently in the hospital owing to a high fever. The portal tried to reach the actress for more information, but couldn’t. They connected with Mahhi’s publicist, Avantika Sinha, who confirmed that the actress has been hospitalised. She shared that Mahhi has a high fever and is extremely weak. She was quoted as saying:

“Yes, she has high fever and extreme weakness and has just been admitted to the hospital, the doctor will run tests now. Nothing beyond this can be confirmed just yet. She is stable, however.”

A few hours back, Mahhi took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture of herself. In the picture, she was seen wearing winter wear and looked visibly ill. She also superimposed another snap featuring different medicines and wrote, “Sick.”

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali are allegedly parting ways

Recently, a source revealed to Hindustan Times that Jay and Mahhi parted ways a long time ago. The source mentioned that the couple tried to mend things, but all went in vain. The divorce was filed a couple of months back, and the papers were signed by the duo in July-August 2025. Currently, the couple is co-parenting their daughter, Tara, and two foster kids. Reacting to the divorce speculation, Mahhi asked people to respect their privacy and their children’s privacy. She also called Jay her family. She shared that Jay is not only a wonderful father but also a wonderful human being. She was quoted as saying:

“Please don’t believe any news till I say it myself. Respect our privacy and our children’s privacy. Jay is my family and will always be my family. He’s a wonderful father and a wonderful human being.”

Mahhi Vij shuts down the alimony rumours

Mahhi took to her YouTube channel to address speculations about her personal life. She also talked about the Rs. 5 crore alimony that she allegedly demanded from her husband, Jay Bhanushali. She clarified that women who are financially stable should work rather than rely on their partners after divorce. She highlighted that alimony is justifiable for women who are housewives and financially dependent. She was quoted as saying:

“I am talking as a woman. I think it is not our right. It is earned by him, and it is his money. If someone wants to take care of you with love, then well and good. But it is permissible for women who are housewives. Women who have no work and have never gone to work, it is permissible for them. But you can work. I think you should get up, work, and earn for yourself. Because when the paths separate, you should earn for yourself.”
